  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Genetic/Genomic Counsellor to join the NWTRGS Cancer Genetics team in delivering a comprehensive, equitable clinical genomic and counselling service for people with, or at-risk of, inherited cancer.</p> <p>The post holder will have experience in genetic/genomic counselling and will manage an independent caseload of diagnostic, pre-symptomatic and urgent cancer cases. They will have on-call responsibilities which include managing urgent cases and being able to answer appropriate queries.</p> <p>As a member of the Cancer Genetics Team, the post holder will also be involved in providing cancer risk assessment advice and guidance and be responsible for preparing for and attending relevant MDTs. The post holder may also be involved in a specialist cancer clinic depending on the needs of the service. They will maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the scientific, medical, and psychological aspects of Clinical Genetics. The post holder will work alongside other clinicians within the department, as well as other healthcare professionals, including mainstream colleagues.   <p>Are you an experienced clinician looking for a new opportunity to grow your clinical and leadership skills?</p><p>West Central London Minds Psychological Therapies Services has an established track record of delivering Talking Therapies across the boroughs in operates within.</p><p>As part of growing and realising our ambitions within Psychological Therapies, we have created a new role to help support and manage the clinical teams and bolster our clinical leadership team.</p><p>The post holder will work alongside the Clinical Lead and Deputy Clinical Lead for the department to ensure quality and performance are met and will provide line management and supervision capacity across the teams.</p><p><strong>You are:</strong></p><p>The postholder will be a qualified, skilled clinician and supervisor, highly motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload, preferably with experience of working and supervising within a Psychological Therapies programme. They will thrive within a fast-paced environment, with the ability to balance and oversee quality staff performance, excellent patient outcomes, service targets being met and provide risk management and assurance through line management and clinical supervision.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>You will:</strong></p><p>The post holder will work within an integrated Psychological Therapies Stepped model delivered in partnership with the Lead Provider in local NHS Trust (CNWL) who will provide the Step 2 and Step 3 delivery within the integrated Psychological Therapies Service.</p><ul><li>The post holder will provide line management and clinical supervision to a range of clinicians and teams within the Psychological Therapies Services.</li> <li>The successful candidate will hold a small clinical caseload within the Psychological Therapies service as required.</li> <li>They will also provide weekly clinical supervision and regular line management to Psychological Therapies Step 3 Counsellors.</li> <li>Provide regular clinical group supervision to Honorary Counsellors in RISE.</li> <li>Provide regular clinical fortnightly group supervision to Suicide Postvention Liaison Officers</li> <li>Provide regularly fortnightly clinical supervision for the Suicide Bereavement service.</li> <li>Provide other supervision arrangements according to clinical service needs.</li> <li>Provide reflective practice across the organisation as needed.</li></ul>
