Arbury Court is situated outside Warrington, just off the M62 and close to Liverpool, Manchester, and Chester. &nbsp;There are excellent transport links, making the hospital highly commutable from across the North West.&nbsp;

    <li>Providing psychological assessments of patients based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological (and neuropsychological) tests, self-report measures, rating scales direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the patient’s care.</li>
    <li>Formulating plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of acquired brain injury and forensic risk designed around the patient’s needs, and employing methods unpinned by relevant evidence-based practice and appropriate conceptual frameworks.</li>

    <li>Acting as psychologist for a ward and/or group of patients as directed by the Joint Heads of Psychology.</li>

<p><strong>To be successful as a Senior Psychologist, you'll have:</strong></p>

    <li>Successful completion of a Doctorate level qualifcation in applied psychology (clinical, forensic, counselling) either through the British Psychological Society or a recognised training body, enabling registration with the HCPC as as Practitioner Psychologist.</li>
    <li>Experience (either pre-training, on training, or subsequently) of working with clients with complex needs that are relevant to the service population. This can include forensic, neuropsychological rehabilitation, learning difficulty, neurodiversity and complex trauma.</li>

Face to Face and Telephone Counsellor

<p>Join the team at Gateway Recovery Centre as a Consultant Psychiatrist&nbsp;providing care and treatment for men and women in&nbsp;specialist inpatient, rehabilitation and low secure settings.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Gateway Recovery Centre is situated in Widnes, close to Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and surrounding areas. There are excellent transport links, which allows the town to be reachable for those travelling across the Northwest.</p>
<p>Gateway Recovery Centre has 72 beds spread across 6 wards.3 wards constitute the women’s service with one acute ward and two level 2 rehabilitation ward for women with high support needs. The other 3 wards provide care to men in specialist rehabilitation unit for men with ASD (Cedar ward), low secure ward (Dove ward) and a rehabilitation ward for older men with complex mental health needs and physical health comorbidities (Ash Ward).</p>
<p>The team consists currently of 4.5 consultants, and you will deliver clinical care to a dedicated caseload. You will be supported by a practice nurse and an enhanced GP service to meet patients’ physical healthcare needs. You will have support from a dedicated supervisor and a medical secretarial team. Specialty doctor cover is available for the acute ward.</p>
<p>You will have access to excellent CPD, and the support of a large peer group of enthusiastic and high-calibre consultants from varied sub-specialties.</p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>

    <li>Providing RC and consultant psychiatrist input to inpatients </li>
    <li>0.5 wte will carry a case load of 8-12 patients depending on the nature of the service</li>

<p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>

    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
    <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>

<p>All clinical hours gained on placement can be used towards accreditation with a body such as BACP and UKCP. If your course does not accept child hours but you would like to gain counselling experience of working with Children and Young People, you can still apply for a Place2Be placement as a second placement.</p>

  <p>Band 7 0.5 wte (2.5 days) 18.75 hours part time permanent post</p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Psychotherapist to join our established adult community Eating Disorders Team.</p> <p>The post is a permanent. You will be joining an experienced and welcoming Multidisciplinary Team which highly values psychotherapeutic work.</p> <p>We are very keen to attract the right candidates and consider locality working. This role will involve remote working/hybrid working options however there will be a requirement to work from the office on certain days to meet the needs of the service.</p> <p>Shortlisting Monday 17th November 2025</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Providing talking therapies to clients with Eating Disorders, providing supervision/training to other staff and acting as a part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team. They will carry a caseload of complex clients and be expected to be an important contributor in the team management of the most complex clients who present to the service.</p> <p>The successful candidate will undertake direct clinical work, supervision, consultation and contribute to teaching and service development as well as helping to consult and guide on client's psychological care, from a trauma informed perspective. The team are trained in different therapy models including CBT, CAT, EMDR and integrative therapy and you will be encouraged and supported to undertake further training.</p> <p>Previous experience of eating disorders is necessary. You will be provided with professional and clinical supervision, and there will be multiple opportunities to develop your specialist clinical skills. There are opportunities to link with other Practitioners working in the eating disorder community and inpatient services across the Trust, and more widely across other services</p>
