  <p>An exciting position has arisen for a psychologist or CBT therapist to join the Havering Early Intervention Psychosis Team for 6 months, fixed-term.</p>
<p>The post holder will join a well-established early intervention in psychosis service for people with a psychotic diagnosis and their families.</p>
<p>The post holder will join the EIP team, delivering CBT for psychosis with people aged between 14-65 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis.</p>
<p>The post will suit enthusiastic psychologist or CBT therapist with an interest in developing their skills in applying evidence-based psychological therapies with this client group and working with multi-disciplinary teams.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will provide assessment and evidence-based interventions for this client group . The post holder will be expected to work closely with the multidisciplinary team and offer support on psychological approaches to working with psychosis.</p>
<p>The post holder will be expected to participate in supervision and CPD focused on evidence-based interventions in psychosis.</p>
<p>In addition, the post holder will receive individual supervision and group supervision in CBT for psychosis. The service has practitioners interested in Narrative Exposure Therapy, EMDR and Family Intervention for Psychosis amongst other approaches.</p>
<p>The Trust has strong links with the UCL, UEL and Royal Holloway clinical psychology courses, several Counselling Psychology courses and the UCL CBTp diploma. Current members of the department are engaged in teaching and research projects with local clinical training courses.</p>

This team isoverseen within the wider therapy services umbrella headed by therapy manager and Occupational Therapist, Sarah Marsh.</p><p>There will be opportunities for continuing professional development and your passion, style and ambitions would be taken into account as you grow within the role. Particular professional development would see the candidate gaining distinct experience in working with acute distress and eating disorders, allowing for the possibility of specialism.</p>

As our Young Person s Psychotherapist, you ll play a vital part in making that happen. Working within our Opportunities Programme, you ll provide one-to-one psychotherapy and co-produced psychoeducation groups for young people aged . Your work will focus on prevention, helping young people make sense of their experiences and build the tools to manage life s challenges before they reach breaking point.</p> <p>You ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team offering a psychologically informed service - collaborating closely with support staff, managers and other professionals to create safe, empowering spaces where young people can explore their emotions, relationships and aspirations. From helping someone understand the impact of trauma, racism or poverty, to facilitating group discussions on healthy boundaries and emotional regulation, your impact will ripple far beyond the therapy room.</p> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>You have at least a year s experience providing psychotherapy or counselling to young people.</li> <li>You re confident supporting both individuals and groups, and understand how group dynamics work.</li> <li>You understand the challenges young people face - especially those who ve experienced the care system and/or experienced trauma.</li> <li>You can build trust with young people who may be wary of professionals and create a safe, supportive space.</li> <li>You value working alongside young people, involving them in shaping their own support and outcomes.</li> <li>You re organised, communicate clearly, and committed to inclusive, anti-discriminatory practice in all you do.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Our attractive benefits package includes:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A salary increase after successfully completing six month's probationary period</li> <li>A 37.5 hour working week including flexible working hours (core hours are 10am 4pm) in non-accommodation services</li> <li>25 days annual leave, increasing annually to the maximum 30 days (plus paid Bank Holidays),</li> <li>A contributory pension scheme: Single Homeless Project will contribute the equivalent of 5% of your annual salary</li> <li>Staff Health Cash Plan and discounts scheme</li> <li>Comprehensive and integrated training programme designed specifically to develop the skills and knowledge involved in our work</li> </ul> <p><strong>Please note</strong> applications will be reviewed and suitable candidates invited to interview as applications are received.
