  <p>We are pleased to be recruiting for a Clinical /Counselling Psychologist for a Band 7, 12 month Fixed Term post in the Tower Hamlets Psychological Therapies Service (PTS).</p> <p>PTS is a friendly and supportive team, highly committed to providing effective treatments to adults with complex difficulties, including depression, anxiety and trauma. We are looking for someone who can provide specialist assessments and individual and group interventions in line with their competencies. Experience of working in more than one modality including CBT, Psychodynamic, MBT, DBT, EMDR, CFT and the capacity to integrate models is welcome.</p> <p>Our service model aims to meet the needs of the local population through working closely with the locality neighbourhood teams, including the complex emotional needs and personality disorder services.</p> <p>The post holder will be working predominantly in person in the service, however, a small, remote working component may be accommodated.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To provide specialist assessments and interventions for clients referred to the psychological therapies service. The post holder will be expected to provide both individual therapy and co-facilitate group interventions, in line with their professional competencies. </p> <p>To work closely with the locality neighbourhood teams to further develop care pathways, the management of risk and facilitate the provision of psychological therapy and psychologically informed care to the local population we serve.</p> <p>To develop and support the psychosocial work of other staff through teaching, training, supervision and consultation. </p> <p>To provide specialist advice to NHS and voluntary sector agencies concerning the assessment, treatment and management of service users.</p> <p>Follow defined practices and procedures under the management and co-ordination of the Operational Lead. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice.</p> <p>Participate in CPD and other developmental activities, keeping up to date with relevant psychological research and national guidance (DoH, NICE etc).</p>

  <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join Bromley West ADAPT (Anxiety, Depression, Affective disorders, Personality disorders &amp; Trauma) a secondary care multidisciplinary service providing care for people living in the Borough of Bromley.</p> <p>You will have a passion for working in multidisciplinary teams supporting people with complex emotional needs, including histories of trauma, emotional regulation and interpersonal difficulties.</p> <p>You will join a dynamic and skilled Psychological Therapies Team comprised of clinical and counselling psychologists, cognitive behavioural therapist, art therapist, assistant psychologist, as well as trainees.</p> <p>The service offers a range of modalities including MBT (Mentalisation-based therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapist), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), psychodynamic psychotherapy, art therapy and MBCT (Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy).</p> <p>The team also work closely with the wider MDT to provide Structured Clinical Management (SCM). New developments this year include the introduction of a Compassion Focussed Therapy Group, and a 'Coping with trauma' group to support individuals awaiting trauma processing therapy.</p>
