The successful candidate will provide confidential counselling (within safeguarding guidelines)  to individual students and small groups, supporting their emotional wellbeing and helping them to overcome barriers to learning. This post is term time only role. The preferred working days are Monday - Wednesday, but Thursday is a possibility. </p><p>The successful candidate with be required to maintain accurate and confidential records in line with College policies and procedures. </p><p>The successful candidate will hold a counselling qualification at level 4 or above and be a member of a professional body such as the BACP. They will have an excellent understanding of child protection and safeguarding.  Experience of working with 16-19 year olds would be an advantage.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a post-graduate qualified psychological practitioner (e.g. clinical psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist, CBT practitioner) in the Ashford CYPMHS Team. To apply for this post you must be fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body (e.g. HCPC, AFT, ACP, BABCP).</p>  <p>The post-holder will provide clinical interventions and assessment within their professional sphere of expertise in CYPMHS. <h2>Job summary</h2>
   <p>The post-holder will be a qualified fully registered HCPC Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with a passion for working in this area. As part of the QNIC recommended structure for inpatient CYP units, we are recruiting for these psychology posts into our Kent &amp; Medway Adolescent Hospital MDT. The post holder will work very closely with Children and Young People's Mental Health Services across inpatient and community in Kent NELFT, the Kent and Sussex provider collaborative and other stakeholders. The post holder will work very closely with the Kent NELFT Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Service who offer specialist DBT assessments and interventions to YP and their families who are referred.</p>  <p>The post holder will be part of the ward MDT as well as linking with the Intensive Home Treatment team to ensure a smooth pathway for CYP between inpatient and community flow. The post holder will facilitate the therapeutic component of the ward programme with the MDT to ensure the clinical model is delivered with senior members of the Psychological Professions team.</p>  <p>The postholder will join a thriving psychological professions team across comprehensive CAMHS (inpatient and community). We have strong links with our local psychology training institute and on-going NHSE training for workforce expansion and upskilling. </p>

CYP Clinical Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The post-holder will be a qualified fully registered HCPC Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with a passion for working in this area. As part of the QNIC recommended structure for inpatient CYP units, we are recruiting for these psychology posts into our Kent &amp; Medway Adolescent Hospital MDT. The post holder will work very closely with Children and Young People's Mental Health Services across inpatient and community in Kent NELFT, the Kent and Sussex provider collaborative and other stakeholders. The Kent NELFT DBT Service offers specialist DBT assessments and interventions to YP and their families who are referred. The postholder will take a lead in liaison with all CYPMHS services to ensure clear transitions for young people entering and leaving inpatient services; linking with the DBT Service and where appropriate supporting the transition to Adult Services. The post holder will be part of the delivery of a highly specialist therapeutic service to CYP in the unit. They will be part of the inpatient clinical team and take on a leadership role whilst being accountable to the Head of Service and Assistant Director for inpatient/home treatment and crisis services.</p>

      <p>There will also be an exciting opportunity to take a lead role in the delivery in a new innovative digital pathway for patients diagnosed with Binge Eating Disorder, and Bulimia.</p> <p>The post holder will be expected to attend and participate in MDT team meetings as well as CPA meetings of cases on their case load. You will also be expected to manage an active caseload, prepare and attend regular individual and group supervisions and maintain high levels of data quality.</p> <p>As the service is exclusively an outpatient service, the post holder will not hold an inpatient case load.</p> <p>The post holders will support their peers and team leader and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative.
