You will work across both the Women's Secure Blended Service and the Secure CAMHS service, which are both located within Ardenleigh Hospital.</p> <p></p> <p>The Ardenleigh site hosts two services, both with an incredible national reputation. Both services have a strong multidisciplinary team ethos, in which the psychological therapies team is well established and respected. The teams work alongside several professionals, providing safe, containing environments and interventions to help people understand themselves, their mental health and offending behaviour. Innovation within the services is strongly encouraged. </p> <p></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p></p><p>This exciting role offers the suitable candidate opportunities to provide individual and group interventions to both adults and young people. You will join a large and diverse psychological therapies team, consisting of clinical and forensic psychologists, arts therapists, specialist psychological practitioners and assistant psychologists. The services are committed to providing the best care for women and young people, and as such service user involvement and co-production are central to what we do. Clinical supervision and line management is facilitated by experienced art psychotherapists. The successful applicant will have access to training and development opportunities and have the chance to develop their clinical skill set within a dynamic team in a busy NHS setting.   <p></p><p>A rare and exciting vacancy has arisen for a passionate and highly motivated band 7/8a Practitioner Psychologist to join our Secure CAMHS team.</p> <p>The Secure CAMHS (SCAMHS) service sits within the Ardenleigh site and offers treatment for up to 11 young people, across two wards. It has received accreditations from QNIC and the National Autistic Society and a quality review in June 2024 highlighted strengths in a positive team culture, great relationships between young people and staff and comprehensive therapeutic provision. </p> <p>The young people we work with have often experienced significant difficulties in their lives and presentations include trauma, mental illness, personality difficulties, neurodevelopment difficulties and harm to self and/or others. As a team psychologist, you will work alongside a range of professionals, providing safe, containing environments and interventions to help the young people understand themselves, their mental health and offending behaviour. Within the role you will have opportunities to provide individual and group interventions, supervision and management of others, and be involved in training, service development, audit and evaluation.</p>

It is committed to providing the best care for young people, and as such service user involvement and co-production are central to what we do. Recently, alongside service users and family members, the team co-wrote an article looking at a group written and delivered by young people and the experiences of having a child in a secure hospital.</p> <p>As a service we are committed to supporting our staff to have a positive experience of their time at work. We acknowledge that working within the Ardenleigh site can be challenging, so you will have access to a range of wellbeing support. You will be joining a large and diverse psychological therapies team within the division, consisting of clinical and forensic psychologists, arts therapists, specialist psychological practitioners and assistant psychologists.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p></p><ul>  <li>To provide specialist occupational therapy service to children &amp; young people with eating disorders.</li>  <li>To undertake comprehensive assessments of each patients needs to formulate individualised management &amp; treatment plans.</li>  <li>To provide specialist advice to patients with eating disorders deemed to be a high physical risk. To be aware of &amp; be able to identify patients at high physical risks, including the risk of refeeding syndrome &amp; provide appropriate nutritional advice regarding the management of risk together with liaison with the MDT regarding the management of risk in these patients, linking with medical and dietetic colleagues in the other Eating Disorders teams &amp; with acute medical services as necessary.</li>  <li>Deliver a range of non-pharmacological interventions following specific Occupational Therapy assessments to enable understanding of any expression of an unmet need &amp; to maximise an individual's abilities.</li>  <li>Complete and contribute to robust risk assessments &amp; risk management plans.</li>  <li>Utilise agreed outcome measures as part of the care planning &amp; evaluation process.</li> </ul> <p></p>
