We have recently undergone large scale transformational change following our move into the state of the art Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) in 2024 and wish to welcome an additional team member into our hospital service.</p>  <p>Our inpatient Speech and Language Therapy team are a welcoming and aspirational group of therapists with a clear vision and strong commitment to improving the lives of local people.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
   <p>We are looking for an individual who is able to work independently with a range of communication and swallowing presentations and can use highly developed interpersonal skills to establish strong relationships with a range of individuals and MDTs.</p> <p>We offer three band 6 acute hospital rotations at MMUH. Successful candidates will experience all rotations within each annual appraisal cycle; allowing for broad based experiences whilst developing more advanced clinical skills. Our core rotations are in medicine and frailty, ICU/surgery/respiratory and front door emergency care.</p> <p>Our team is committed to supporting each individual team member's training and development and we ask for candidates who are equally motivated to then support others; mentoring SLT staff and other support staff within the service as well as helping us to grow our student placement provision.</p> <p>Our service works over 7 days a week and post holders are required to engage in our weekend working hospital roster.</p> <p>You will be required to:</p> <p>To independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of disorders ofcommunication and swallowing as part of the medical and surgical inpatient, acute SLT service.</p> <p>To work independently with patients with often sensitive and complex presentations, actively seeking support and supervision as required.</p> <p>Development skills in instrumental assessment procedures such as; endoscopic examination of swallowing (FEES) or videofluoroscopy(VFS)</p>

  <p>An exciting position has arisen within our East Mental Health Support Team. We are looking for an experienced &amp; enthusiastic Education Mental Health Practitioner/Children's Wellbeing Practitioner.</p> <p>Youwill continue to build on the fantastic work carried out within your allocated schools.   <p>The CYP Eating Disorders Day Hospital Service is currently mobilising. This specialist provision delivers intensive, evidence-based care to children &amp; young people experiencing moderate to severe eating disorders. This innovative service aims to bridge the gap between inpatient and community care, offering a safe and structured alternative to Tier 4 admission &amp; facilitating earlier discharge from hospital settings.</p> <p>Operating through a MDT working collaboratively to provide holistic, person-centred care, each professional brings their expertise to support physical health monitoring, nutritional rehabilitation, psychosocial interventions &amp; occupational engagement, all tailored to the unique needs of each young person &amp; their family.</p> <ul>  <li><strong>In-reach and Outreach support</strong> to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions &amp; reduce relapse.</li>  <li><strong>Intensive day hospital interventions</strong> focused on recovery, risk management, &amp; re-engagement with daily life.</li>  <li><strong>Meal support and psychoeducation</strong> for young people &amp; their families, promoting sustainable recovery at home.</li>  <li><strong>Multidisciplinary care planning and supervision</strong>, ensuring continuity &amp; quality of care across settings.</li>  <li><strong>Training and consultation</strong> to professionals and carers, enhancing system-wide understanding and support for eating disorders. </li> </ul>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

  <p>The Tamarind Centre is seeking a fixed term maternity cover for an 8B Practitioner Psychologist to join its psychology department. This is a strong developmental opportunity, ideal for an experienced 8A looking to progress or an 8B psychologist curious about moving into forensic work.</p> <p>The post sits within our personality focused recovery service, a specialist ward for men with complex histories of violence, trauma, and interpersonal conflict. We are looking for someone with experience delivering therapeutic work to individuals, groups, and across systems. While expertise in MBT, DBT, or forensic psychodynamic psychotherapy is welcomed, it is not essential. An interest in adapting therapies for men at high risk of violence is especially valued.</p> <p>Tamarind is an 89 bed medium secure unit supporting men with enduring mental health needs and histories of violence. Our psychology team values openness, authenticity, and psychological safety. We prioritise cohesion over conformity and invite you to help us grow. Our work lives in the balance between care and containment, acknowledging trauma and structural inequality while avoiding binary thinking. Evidence based practice is essential, but we aim to adapt it compassionately and meaningfully.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Beyond therapy, we are committed to co-production and service user involvement. Recent work includes culturally informed mental health groups, co-designed trauma training, and projects with carers to hold the service accountable. As Principal Psychologist, you will help lead this work, shaping trauma informed care as a cultural shift across the unit and wider Division. Leadership here is seen not as a title but as a shared, evolving process. Support comes from colleagues across disciplines, including community partners.</p>
