You should have a strong background in working therapeutically with children, young people and families, and demonstrable experience of providing supervision within CAMHS or CYP services. It would be desirable for candidates to have a CBT supervision training qualification, and some experience of teaching, training and leadership.</p>

  <p>As a senior member of the West Sussex CAMHS team, you would participate in the core multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention work of the team and engage in multi-agency liaison work as necessary. You would also be required to participate in the supervision, training and the overall governance requirements of SPFT CAMHS.</p> <p>While holding a small clinical caseload, you will provide support and supervision to a growing CBT workforce and contribute to our CBT leadership team across the wider Sussex CAMHS service, regarding innovative ways of developing our CBT offer. In particular, this role would support new CBT trainees in placement while they undertake their training at Kings College London. It serves people with a learning disability experiencing significant mental health needs and/or displaying significant behavioural distress.   <p>The team provides a full range of assessments, interventions, support, training and advice to individuals themselves, their families and paid carers and the network of multi-agency stakeholders who are involved in the care and support of people experiencing complex behavioural and/or emotional distress.</p>
<p>Guided by recovery principles, the team maintains close liaison and pathways with a range of existing and specialist mental health community teams, social support accommodation services and social care agencies across the Walsall area in order to ensure that people with a learning disability and mental health and/or behavioural distress needs are also well supported by the full range of services and opportunities that meet their whole life person centred needs and aspirations.</p>

  <p>The post-holder will be part of a team committed to MDT working with people with a learning disability. They will bring experience combining the best of evidence based clinical assessment &amp; formulation with integrative, client centred, therapeutic interventions.</p> <p>They will be skilled in both individual and group work adapted to match the different intellectual &amp; emotional abilities within the client group. They will have experience and skills to oversee the performance and development of existing psychological pathways, such as Trauma, PBS and Dementia.</p> <p>There are opportunities to develop new and existing group programmes. We are looking for someone to join us who has passion and experience of working with looked after children and able to contribute positively to the growing team.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual, with a strong professional identity to work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team. You will work with children and adolescents who have highly complex and persistent mental health difficulties, using evidence based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. You will provide a range of highly skilled therapeutic trauma-informed interventions, which will be delivered on an individual, group or family basis, provide consultations to social workers/foster carers, provide support to professional networks working with the children in care, and share OT specialist skills to the multi-disciplinary team.</p>
