  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen, for someone to join our team of cancer counsellors at ESNEFT. We are looking for a motivated and experienced counsellor with the skills to offer therapeutic support to cancer patients and their relatives.</p>
<p>As part of a cross site collaborative counselling service, you will work 34 hours per week across 4 or 5 days, based in the Cancer Wellbeing and Information Centre at Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals. Subject to room availability and needs of the service you will work at least 2 days at Colchester (Monday and Tuesday) and 1 day in Ipswich (Wednesday or Friday). Other time can be worked from home. Regular outreach clinics are held in Clacton and counsellors also provide telephone support from home.</p>
<p>You are required to have previous experience of working as a counsellor, ideally in a secondary care setting. You will be BACP accredited or working towards accreditation with substantial experience of counselling clients and time-limited work. You will support cancer patients and their loved ones who may present with a range of needs, such as trauma, grief and loss to effectively manage the challenges and ethical dilemmas presented in this area of work.</p>

  <p>You will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team, including counsellors, clinical nurse specialists, doctors, information staff and volunteers. Part of the role will be to facilitate education, clinical supervision and reflective practice to cancer services staff, as well as raise the awareness of the benefits of counselling to other health professionals.</p>
<p>You will have the ability to be flexible, have good organisational and problem-solving skills; prioritising workload effectively and working collaboratively to continually evaluate and improve services. Working independently you will be responsible for the administrative duties, record keeping and data collection and analysis associated with the role. You will lead on the bookings of the clients referred and liaise with the Wellbeing centre staff regarding room bookings. You will be confident in multi-tasking and able to demonstrate excellent IT and telephone skills.</p>

BABCP accreditation is required for Band 7 positions.</p> <p>Our team has strong links to universities and researchers. A key advantage of working in secondary care is the chance to work alongside and learn from highly specialist nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists (with trainings in systemic, DBT, creative, analytic and CBT). Within Sussex CAMHS we have a strong psychology and CBT team. You will be well-supported with training and CPD, and opportunities for career development.</p> <p>We would expect the therapist to be conversant with IAPT principles, and practiced in using ROMS and disorder specific outcome measures as part of evaluation and of their work, as well as part of ongoing team audit.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a member of the CAMHS team, you would participate in the core multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention work of the team, and engage in multi-agency liaison work as necessary. You would also be required to participate in the supervision, training and the overall governance requirements of SPFT CAMHS.</p> <p>We operate a pathways model and you would hold some clinical lead responsibilities within these, including decision-making around treatment options, and supervision of low intensity CBT practitioners and trainees. You would also play a lead role in our group interventions.</p> <p>You'd part of a very busy but lively and welcoming CAMHS team, which offers a wide range of individual, group and systemic interventions, and is involved in a number of innovative evaluation and research projects and service developments.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Genetic/Genomic Counsellor to join the NWTRGS Cancer Genetics team in delivering a comprehensive, equitable clinical genomic and counselling service for people with, or at-risk of, inherited cancer.</p> <p>The post holder will have experience in genetic/genomic counselling and will manage an independent caseload of diagnostic, pre-symptomatic and urgent cancer cases. They will have on-call responsibilities which include managing urgent cases and being able to answer appropriate queries.</p> <p>As a member of the Cancer Genetics Team, the post holder will also be involved in providing cancer risk assessment advice and guidance and be responsible for preparing for and attending relevant MDTs. The post holder may also be involved in a specialist cancer clinic depending on the needs of the service. They will maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the scientific, medical, and psychological aspects of Clinical Genetics. The post holder will work alongside other clinicians within the department, as well as other healthcare professionals, including mainstream colleagues. The post holder should already hold or be working toward professional UK registration.</p>

  <p>Oxleas are seeking to recruit a clinically skilled, innovative and experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to provide clinical and professional leadership across our Intensive Case Management for Psychosis (ICMP), Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP), and Community Mental Health Rehabilitation and Enablement Service (CMHRES) Teams, in the London Brough of Bexley based in Erith. Bexley ICMP is a multi-disciplinary mental health team working within the psychosis pathway within a secondary care community mental health setting.</p> <p>The post holder will work alongside another Principal Psychologist, and Consultant Clinical Psychologist in taking a locality leading role in managing the provision of psychological therapy in the team and join the team manager and consultant psychiatrist in forming the senior clinical team to provide clinical leadership to the ICMP team.</p> <p>The post would be suitable to current 8A's (with at least 3.5 years post qualified experience) or 8B's with relevant experience and transferable skills who have a specialist interest in psychosis.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>A central component of the post will be taking an operational leadership role in further developing the role and remit of psychological therapy in the service. This would encompass support and oversight of referral screening as well as waiting list management, supervision and consultation to the wider team. Service development and innovation are embraced and 3rd sector working, training and working across service transitions would all form aspects of the leadership part of the role.</p> <p>The post will also ensure clinical time for the provision of highly specialised psychological therapy. Specialist training in a particular modality, as well as supervisory training in these, will be highly desirable eg CBTp, FiP, EMDR.</p> <p>The ICMP psychology team is comprised of a band 4 Assistant Psychologist, band 7 and 8a psychological therapists, as well as input from an Art Psychotherapist and Family Therapist, and a borough wide service lead Consultant Psychologist. Doctoral trainee and honorary placement supervision are also encouraged and the services maintain close links with the Salomons DClinPsy Doctoral Program. Supervision of the local psychology team and yearly appraisals (PDR) will also form some of the operational tasks of the post. The new incumbent will also join an established group of senior psychological therapists from across the borough. This is an established leadership forum offering peer support, and links to senior management.</p>
