<p>The Recreational Worker organises and provides a predominantly ward-based recreational/leisure service, based on the adult acute mental health wards.</p>
<p>The activities they facilitate occur alongside therapeutic interventions from the Occupational Therapy service, Psychology, Arts therapies and the ward Nursing Team to enhance a service user's stay in hospital.</p>
<p>The recreational service is provided during afternoons, evenings, weekends and bank holidays</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>  <li>You will organise and provide a predominantly ward-basedrecreational/leisure servicesuch as gardening groups, craft sessions, music activities, sports/active sessions, facilitating gym sessions, games, etc.</li>  <li>You will be based on the adult acute mental health wards where service users require support for a range of diagnoses such as psychosis, depression, or anxiety.</li>  <li>The recreational service is provided during afternoons, evenings and weekends and so the role requires working in the early evenings until 8pm and on the weekends 9 -5.</li>  <li>The team consists of a Lead and Head Occupational Therapist, Band 6 and 5 Occupational Therapists, Assistant Therapy Practitioners, and a Horticultural Therapist.   <p>Great Ormond Street is a world-renowned tertiary referral specialist children's hospital, in the heart of Central London. We see children of all ages with a myriad of conditions, which provide for a truly interesting and varied workload in all modalities.</p>
<p>We are seeking to recruit Radiographers for our Diagnostic Service. This rotational position, at the core of the Service, provides a wealth of opportunity to those looking to be part of a high quality and respected department. </p>
<p>This role would suit those with postgraduate Radiography experience, looking to develop their specialist paediatric Radiography skills and utilise their clinical skills in a supportive and innovative department, where maintaining an excellent diagnostic service to patients and their families is key.</p>
<p>You will be working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team in providing this service. Good communication skills and excellent team working abilities are essential for this post.</p>

<p>The Children's Cancer Centre will have an entire floor dedicated to imaging and will include state of the art technology with a CT, MRI and PET-CT scanner.</p>

The Occupational Therapy team are looking for a band 4 Occupational Assistant Therapy Practitioner (ATP) to be based at Kingfisher Court, Radlett to support the established OT service. This is an exciting opportunity for an independent and self-sufficient practitioner, who would like to help support people using our services to establish roles and routines, and interests whilst on the wards, as well as help identify occupational need.</p>
<p>We are looking for someone who is excited to become part of our team, who would like to help us take forward developments around trauma informed care, positive behavioural support planning and sensory integration.</p>
<p>There is supervision by the occupational therapists, and an opportunity to apply for the funded OT apprenticeship.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

Our teams deliver evidence-based interventions in schools and colleges for children and young people aged 4-18, while also supporting Whole School Approaches to improve wellbeing across education settings. Working closely with school-based services and linking with CAMHS where needed, MHSTs play a vital role in strengthening mental health support for young people.</p>   <p>We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Mental Health Practitioner (SMHP) to join our Mid Essex MHSTs. You will deliver CBT interventions, lead Whole School Approach activities, and support Education Mental Health Practitioners through supervision and guidance. The role also includes developing school networks, delivering staff training, supporting group programmes, and co-producing mental health resources.</p>   <p>Applicants should be CYPMHS clinicians undertaking or having completed CYP-PT CBT or SFP training, or registered professionals with a postgraduate diploma in evidence-based psychological therapies. Strong CBT experience is essential.</p>   <p>You will work closely with schools to embed MHST support, develop materials for interventions, and promote positive mental health across education communities.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will deliver brief, high-quality CBT interventions to children and young people in schools and colleges, conducting assessments, offering early interventions, and measuring outcomes to ensure effective, evidence-based practice. They will also support Whole School Approach activities, including workshops, groups, staff training, and consultation, while promoting early identification of mental health needs.</p>   <p>Working autonomously and in line with professional and Trust standards, the practitioner will plan and deliver care according to NICE guidelines, initiate referrals when needed, and provide clear information and psychoeducation to CYP and families.</p>   <p>The role includes contributing to MHST leadership, supporting team culture, multidisciplinary working, audits, governance, and sharing clinical knowledge. Administrative duties involve maintaining clinical records, managing caseloads, supporting agile working, and collecting MHST data.   <p>A position for a Band 7 Senior Therapist has arisen in our clinic in Medway. This post would suit newly qualified Psychologists or Psychotherapists, or an experienced clinician with a professional qualification such as Nurse or Social Worker with some additional recognised training such as CBT or DBT.</p>
  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We offer assessment and treatment to children and young people aged 0-18 years with a wide range of presentations, mental health disorders, complexity and risk. You need to have experience working within a CAMHS service and be able to cope with a fast paced, ever changing environment, whilst responding appropriately to the young people and their families.</p>
<p>As a band 7 you will be expected to offer specific clinical supervision to junior staff, consultations to the wider team and provide specialist interventions to our clients.</p>
  <h3>About us</h3>
  <p><strong>Probationary Period</strong></p> <p>This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).</p>  <p><strong>Starting with NELFT</strong></p> <p>NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.</p> <p>Use of AI</p> <p>Applications for this role should be written by the applicant.
