  <p><strong>We currently have 2 full-time and 1 part-time Clinical Psychologist/ CBT Therapist/ Senior Mental Health Clinician Band 7 vacancies in MHST - 1x Full Time (37.5 hours a week) based at Unither House Chertsey, 1x Full-time based at either Unither House, Chertsey or Trust HQ, Leatherhead, 1 x part time ( 30 hours a week) based at Unither House Chertsey.</strong></p> <p>We invite you to consider being involved in this exciting opportunity to help to deliver the governments vision and commitment to develop integrated mental health teams in schools.</p> <p>Building on existing 'whole school approaches' to mental health and wellbeing, Surrey is developing new MHSTs to work with selected primary and secondary schools to increase access to mental health interventions for children and young people up to the age of 18 years.</p> <p>Our MHSTs have 3 core functions; supporting families and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties by delivering evidence-based interventions in schools; providing timely advice and consultation to schools, and supporting schools to deliver whole school approaches to mental health and wellbeing. Each MHST is co-located in schools, operating from the four main geographical hubs, with services delivered across the cluster of schools for each area.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a Senior Clinician you will be mentoring and/or supervising the development of EMHPs in your team, building a culture of high-quality clinical practice. You will grow and nurture trainees and newly qualified EMHPs, utilising your experience and skills to ensure they develop into well rounded clinicians.</p>
<p>You will take the lead in building relationships with senior leaders in schools, providing regular case consultation, support and advice, and being a 'link' to the wider children's mental health services. Together with the Clinical Lead and educational psychologists, you will develop programmes of work to support schools with their whole school approach goals, enabling more sustainable, holistic change. Finally, you will hold a small caseload, delivering direct interventions to CYP and families.</p>
<p>We are looking to build a multi-disciplinary team whose strength comes from the variety of skills and experience brought by each team member. This is a community-based 3 day, 1 year fixed term post, located within the Emotional and Behavioural Pathway (E&amp;B) for intervention (2 days) and within the neuro-developmental pathway (NDT) for Specialist Assessment (1 day). The post holder will offer flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessment and treatment with a focus on providing services to young people with neuro-developmental needs. The post holder will directly contribute to the positive working environment within the multi-disciplinary teams. The post holder will require a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management, and will be required to account for their professional practice through appraisal and audit. The post holder will play a direct role in Quality Improvement (QI) and audit projects as necessary.</strong></p>

  <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical or Educational Psychologist, Arts, Occupational or Systemic Therapist with a background of working with education settings and/or experience in child and adolescent mental health, to work within a growing multi-disciplinary Mental Health Support in Schools Team (MHST). <p>We are seeking to recruit Radiographers for our Diagnostic Service. This rotational position, at the core of the Service, provides a wealth of opportunity to those looking to be part of a high quality and respected department. </p>
<p>This role would suit those with postgraduate Radiography experience, looking to develop their specialist paediatric Radiography skills and utilise their clinical skills in a supportive and innovative department, where maintaining an excellent diagnostic service to patients and their families is key.</p>
<p>You will be working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team in providing this service. Good communication skills and excellent team working abilities are essential for this post.</p>

The NHS Talking Therapies specific training involves in person training at ReadingUniversity with the remainder of your time spent at Mind Matters Base (Unither House, Chertsey).You will be required to work one late shift per week until 8pm.</p>

<p>You would be upgraded to a band 5 position as a PWP after receipt of written confirmation of course completion from training provider and consequently application for professional registration.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>A key part of your role will be undertaking assessments with people with common mental health difficulties, identifying goals and undertaking risk assessments. You will identify treatment plans with your supervisor, communicate plans to your clients and navigate our clinical IT system, sending relevant GP and client letters. You will provide treatment to people struggling with common mental health difficulties. This will involve providing a range of evidence based low-intensity psychological treatments. It will include providing 1:1 guided self-help, delivering computerised CBT and assisting/running psychoeducational groups for clients. You will be responsible for signposting and onwards referrals in collaboration with your supervisor for any inappropriate referrals. You will need to adhere to an agreed amount of client contacts offered per week. You will keep records of clinical activity and use such records, as well as clinical outcomes, to make decisions with your supervisor.</p>
<p>You will need to attend and fulfil all the requirements of the trainee PWP course, including practical and academic university assessments. You will need to be compliant with all the mandatory NHS training. You will need to prepare and present clinical information to your case management supervisor to ensure safe practice and implement any suggestions from supervision. You will be required to engage in clinical skills supervision in order to improve your competencies and clinical practice.</p>

  <p>Mind Matters Surrey IAPT has been operational since 2013 and is part of the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust. We are a fast growing, primary care mental health service offering high quality evidence based psychological therapies for people with common mental health problems.</p>
<p>Mind Matters Surrey IAPT services provides Talking Therapies treatments between 8.00am - 8.00pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am-5pm Friday and Saturday. There is a requirement to work a minimum of 1 late shift per week until 8pm.</p>
<p>Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the leading provider of health and social care services for people of all ages with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in Surrey and North East Hampshire. We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.</p>
