We are looking for a dynamic Highly Specialist Applied Psychologist to provide leadership and clinical skills as part of Community Transformation. The post holder will work across the Treatment and Intervention Team and The community Hub delivering effective, safe and compassionate care.</p>
<p>We value the key leadership roles, Psychologists provide within the Trust. To support this, we use the leadership profiles for each psychology band, you will find these attached to the advert .</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The vacancy is open to either a newly qualified Psychologist or an experienced Psychologist, with appropriate job description and banding being applied accordingly to the successful candidate. Dependant on candidates experience they may start at any of the following increments: Band 7, Band 7-8a developmental or Band 8a .</p> <p>If recruited to a band 7 post, this will be a developmental post with progression to an 8a banding upon meeting the criteria within the 8a job description.</p> <p>We welcome applications from staff who are currently coming to the end of their training in Clinical or counselling psychology that on successful completion will achieve the required qualification and registration with HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist.</p> <p>Trainee counselling psychologists are eligible to apply for and to be shortlisted for interview and to be offered qualified posts when they are in their 3rd year of the doctoral training and have the following confirmed as completed by the university.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 0.6wte 8b clinical/counselling/forensic psychologist to provide clinical leadership to the male inpatient pathway at Hellesdon Hospital, which comprises of two wards and a total of 33 beds. You will be joining our well-established psychology team working across the largest acute service in NSFT that comprises of five inpatients wards, 3 of which are part of the new build, and a crisis resolution home treatment team; there is also likely to be one more ward opening by the end of this year. </p> <p>Within the role you will be helping to provide psychological clinical leadership, regarding MDT decision making, risk management and reduction in restrictive interventions. You will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team colleagues, helping to inform and engage the teams in more psychological ways of thinking and formulating our service users. You will work alongside other psychology colleagues to aid smooth transition and coherent treatment/management plans for service users across the inpatient service line and back into wider community services.</p> <p>You will provide supervision and line management to other members of the psychology team within the male pathway that includes a full time 8a clinical psychologist, B7 art therapist and assistant psychologist. This will include ensuring adherence to evidence base practice, outcome measures and audit data.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The work is challenging, fast paced and rewarding; our psychology team come with a range of specialist interests and therapy expertise and have strong links to the UEA doctorate course. There will be the opportunity for training and development as part of the role.</p> <p>- Ensuring the provision of evidence based psychological assessment and treatment across the male inpatient wards.</p> <p>- Providing specialist assessment and formulation of complex clients to help aid clinical decision making re diagnosis, management of risk and treatment pathways.</p> <p>- Working closely with the wider MDT as well as community services involved, to provide clinical leadership in order to enhance psychological thinking and promotion of psychological formulation to facilitate optimal patient care and promote best practice guidelines.</p> <p>- Working with families and carers where appropriate, particularly on complex cases where the system may feel quite 'stuck'.</p> <p>- Provision of line management and clinical supervision to other clinicians within the inpatient psychology team.</p> <p>- Working alongside the Associate Director of Psychology to help contribute to local and trust level service development and initiatives where appropriate.</p>

  <p>ESNEFT is a large NHS Foundation Trust serving a population of approximately 1 million people in the Suffolk and North Essex area.</p>
<p>ESNEFT is starting a new Complex Obesity Service which will deliver bariatric/metabolic surgery, endoscopic and medical weight management treatments to the Suffolk and North Essex population. We have designed our service with many innovations to make it fit for purpose for the current obesity landscape.</p>
<p>We have combined the traditional Tier 3 and Tier 4 into a single comprehensive service (Tier 4 PLUS) and will offer all treatments including IWMP, GLP-1 medications, endoscopic and surgical bariatric procedures.</p>
<p>A national BOMSS survey of bariatric psychologists in 2022 found that there was a significant disparity between what activity bariatric psychologists wanted to be delivering within Specialist Weight Management Services and the activity they were actually carrying out. Psychologists spent most of their time assessing patients for bariatric surgery or other treatments whereas they would prefer to focus on psychological treatment of patients who need it.</p>
<p>We have allocated funding and created outline pathways for psychological assessment and treatment to provide a quality psychological element to the service. We are keen to recruit a psychologist who can continue to innovate and develop these assessment and treatment approaches using the latest evidence and quality standards.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This post would be available full or part time and options for flexible working hours and remote working will be considered by mutual agreement.</p>
<p>The role within the Weight Management Service will involve both direct 1:1 patient care, service development, advice to other MDT members and the potential for group patient sessions. You will be a core member of the Multidisciplinary Team meetings and discuss each patient's suitability for treatment to agree with other members of the MDT a shared decision for treatment for each patient.</p>
<p>We are recruiting Bariatric Psychologists to develop and deliver this new service and currently seeking an experienced psychologist looking to progress their career in a Band 8b Principal Clinical Psychologist position. The post will be 0.5 with a vibrant community mental health team and 0.5 with the enhanced team for personality disorders, both located in the Solihull Hub . This is an ideal post to apply your full range of psychological skills and knowledge including consultation, training, supervision, service development, leadership and research in addition to direct clinical work.</p>
<p>We are looking for a suitably experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologists (or equivalent applied Psychological Practitioners). Based on experience, this post can either be offered at a Band 8a or a Band 7/ 8a Preceptorship arrangement. Applicants from final year trainees in a Preceptorship arrangement are welcome.</p>
<p>It is a stimulating time in the service as the post-holders will be part of multi-professional teams supporting the Transformation of our Community Services in BSMHFT as part of the NHS Long Term Plan.</p>
<p>We would welcome applications from those looking to build upon their clinical skills with a wide range of presenting difficulties post qualification or those with more experience who are keen to develop specialisms and greater leadership roles to make a difference in the community.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and skilled clinicians who can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, to provide a range of clinical services. The individual will have excellent opportunities to gain experience of multilevel and integrated service provision and to further develop skills of complex case assessment, formulation and the application of evidence based psychological interventions, both individual and in groups. You should have experience of working with service users with complex mental health and behavioural needs; additionally to be familiar with the needs of a diverse BAME community and working in areas of high socioeconomic deprivation.</p>
<p>We have an established track record in service innovation supporting a diverse range of clinical and academic interest, with time for research and teaching related activities built into many of our psychological professions job plans.
