  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Post Holder will:</p>  <p>Offer specialist CAMHS assessments and interventions to children, young people and their families/carers in a community CAMHS setting, under the supervision of a senior psychologist.</p>  <p>Contribute to the work of Barnet CAMHS neurodevelopmental service.</p>  <p>Offer supervision to Assistant Psychologists, Psychology students and CBT therapists.</p>  <p>Work alongside MDT colleagues and represent Psychology in MDT meetings, and CAMHS in multi-agency contexts as appropriate.</p>  <p>Work autonomously within professional Psychology guidelines and exercise responsibility for their continuous professional development.</p>  <p>Utilise research skills for audit, policy, and service development and research.</p>   <h3>About us</h3>

Broader groupwork or group analytic skills are also welcome.</p> <p>You will join a dynamic and skilled Psychological Therapies Team comprised of psychologists, psychotherapists, cognitive behavioural therapists, art therapist, assistant psychologist, a Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner, as well as trainees. The service offers a range of modalities including MBT (Mentalisation-based therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapist), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), art therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy and MBCT (Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy). The team also work closely with the wider MDT to provide Structured Clinical Management (SCM). New developments this year include the planned launch of a comprehensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) programme, and the service is acting as a site for a randomised controlled trial evaluating a trauma focused adaption of MBT.</p>

<p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in the Therapies Team at our new Adult Acute Inpatient Wards, Silverwood.</p>
<p>The post offers a diverse range of experience working with people with complex mental health difficulties. You will join a friendly and supportive group of psychologists in the locality and there will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD. The trust has an enviable care pathways system which values Psychology, Psychotherapy and the Arts Psychotherapies. There are opportunities to train in DBT, CBT for psychosis, family interventions, CBT for personality disorders and structured clinical management.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>Variety:</strong> You will have the chance to work with a wide range of complex presentations including affective disorders, psychosis, and personality, and using a variety of methods and approaches. With assessments, individual therapies, group therapies, family interventions, MDT working, complex case meetings, indirect interventions using a Positive Behaviour Support framework, and supervision all part of the role, it's safe to say that no two days will feel the same! Many of our Psychologists in acute services find that the switching really helps to stay energised.</p>
<p><strong>Fast-paced:</strong> You will get to be reflexive; formulating problems, identifying with teams when attempted solutions create a new or different problem, and supporting teams to remove barriers to discharge and supporting people to have an independent and personally meaningful life outside of hospital. Expect your day to fly by!</p>
<p><strong>Autonomy:</strong> Acute Inpatient Psychologists can personalise and tailor the role of Psychology for their wards.</p>
<p><strong>Leadership:</strong> You will be able to develop the role of Psychology and influence the direction of the wider team in an environment designed for recovery and safety. Psychology's expertise are really valued for differential formulations, reducing restrictive practices, and delivering trauma-informed and Psychologically-informed care.</p>
