  <p>We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an experienced and dedicated individual to apply for this permanent role. The Cancer Psychological Care Team provides emotional and psychological support for patients, family members and carers. The service was originally established in 2019 as part of a fixed-term partnership project between King's College Hospital and Macmillan Cancer Support, with permanent status agreed in 2021. Enhanced service provision has enabled an increase in the number of psychology positions in the service structure and helped to secure the continued delivery of evidence-based psychological care for the future. The team not only offers clinical services, but is involved in liaising with existing services in the community to help integrate secondary and primary care in order to better share resources and enable access to services in the most culturally and practically acceptable location for the population that we serve.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This is an exciting time to join a team which has been recently established and developed, offering excellent service development opportunities. The main objective of this post is to provide, coordinate, support and continually develop the integrated cancer psychological support services across KCH. The successful post holder will be supported by an 8B principal practitioner psychologist service lead, and will work alongside two other 8A Practitioner Psychologists, two Band 7 psychologists, Trainee Clinical Psychologists, and a dedicated Medical Secretary. You will be joining a friendly and innovative group of psychologists and psychotherapists working across various medical specialities in a busy hospital setting that serves a diverse inner-city population. The post-holder will be expected to cover services at Kings College Hospital and Princess Royal University Hospital, and allocation of their time between sites and cancer MDMs will be guided by senior colleagues, commensurate with the needs of the service.   <p>The successful applicant will be joining the service during an exciting period of service development and transformation. They will receive clinical supervision from a senior Psychologist (with BABCP Accreditation if required) and will work closely with AEDS psychological therapies team.</p> <p>The post holder will be responsible for providing or contributing to the clinical supervision of Trainee Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists; this is, with support and, where applicable, training to assist in the development of these supervision skills.</p> <p>The post holder will be expected to carry out comprehensive assessments and formulations and plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of their psychological interventions (individual and group).   <p>We have an exciting preceptorship development position for either a newly qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/CBT therapist looking for a post with potential career progression, OR for an experienced Band 7/8A ready to apply directly for an 8A post.</p> <p>The successful candidate will join our friendly community mental health team, in the Greenwich Early Intervention in Psychosis Service.</p> <p>You will be part of an MDT helping the EIP service support the needs of people experiencing a range of psychosis related difficulties.</p> <p>WE WOULD WELCOME APPLICATIONS FROM CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGISTS WHO ARE IN THEIR FINAL YEAR OF DOCTORAL TRAINING, and those who are looking for the opportunity for career development and wish to build the specialist skills and experience in line with the roles set out below. </p> <p>There will be very close working with the other psychological therapists across EIP, and there will be lots of opportunity for additional support.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As part of the therapy team, you will be providing individual and group interventions, as well as working with families.</p> <p>You will be supporting the wider MDT with psychological perspectives into individuals and families support and care needs. You will also have the opportunity to develop your supervision skills through supervising Trainee Clinical Psychologists, and Assistant Psychologists.</p>  <p>You will work with people from a range of different backgrounds and ages, and will ideally be passionate about equal opportunities and client-centred care. Working with clients within a secondary care team, you will have an opportunity to develop experience and skills and specialist skills in psychological interventions in working with this client group. You will have the opportunity to train further in NICE concordant interventions for psychosis such as CBTp and FiP, in addition to the option of being involved in our psychosis family therapy service, and accessing training in trauma therapies such as EMDR.</p>  <p>You will hold a clinical case load and be supervised by the ICMP Lead Psychologist. You will also have the opportunity to attend specialist supervision in CBTp, FiP, and other therapy modalities (e.g. ACT, EMDR).</p>   <h3>About us</h3>
