  <p>We are seeking to recruit a Registered and/or Accredited Band 5, 6 or 7 Counsellor to join the West Dorset Team .</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the appropriate skills, experience and qualifications to join a highly motivated, professional and committed team. All successful candidates will be expected to train or be qualified in one of the following NICE Approved Counselling modalities; Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE CfD) or Couples Therapy for Depression (CTfD).</p> <p>The requirements for a Band 5 position will be a minimum of a recognised Diploma in Counselling, be Registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and be working towards Accreditation. Band 6 positions include Accreditation status with an appropriate Professional governing Body e.g BACP/BPC/UKCP and in training in a NICE approved modality. Band 7 positions include Accreditation status and qualification and current practice in one of the NICE approved modalities; Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE CfD), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) or Couples Therapy for Depression (CTfD).</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will be expected to provide Counselling via Face to Face appointments digital and telephone platforms including on occasion home visits and working with interpreters. We provide short term time limited treatment. You may be required to facilitate groups online or in person and have excellent administration, IT and communication skills.   <p><strong>This is an exciting role working in our CAMHS Eating Disorders Team, where you will have the opportunity to use and develop your specialist skills.</strong></p> <p>You'll be working as part of a team that has recently won the Oxford Health staff 2024 Flexible team award.   <p>Working as part of our multi-disciplinary team, which consists of Psychologists, Family therapists, Psychotherapists, Children's Wellbeing Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists, and in a team where a number of specialist clinics are offered eg LD, NDC, FT, ED, you will find plenty of opportunities to learn from colleagues and share expertise.</p> <p>On a day-to-day basis, you will be working within the CAMHS Eating Disorder Service ensuring the systemic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service to clients with eating disorders and complex mental health problems including severe, enduring and multiple disorders. You undertaking mental health assessments, formulating, risk assessing and devising evidence-based care plans for children and young people (CYP). Collaborative working is key and we are proud of the relationships the team has with partner agencies including Salisbury District Hospital.</p> <p>We have a strong psychology network and professional leadership across the 5 CAMHS teams in BSW (Bath and Northeast Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire) and strong links with the Doctoral Training course at Bath University. </p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Carers Officer to join our Integrated Community Mental Health Team for Older Persons in Poole.</p> <p>Our team support patients with both functional and organic mental illness. We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Carers Officer to support carers--typically family members, friends, and neighbours--who provide essential care to patients within our service.</p> <p><strong>Hours:</strong> 15 hours per week<strong>Working Pattern:</strong> The service operates Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Working hours can be discussed and agreed upon within this timeframe.</p>

  <p>In this role, you will engage with carers to understand their needs, offer guidance, advocate on their behalf, and connect them with the services and resources that will enable them to continue their invaluable role. You will provide advice, guidance, and practical assistance, working closely with other health and social care professionals and partner organisations to ensure carers receive the support they need.</p>
