<p><strong>We have a new opportunity for a part time Clinical Psychologist to join our CAMHS Eating Disorders Team, where you will have the opportunity to use and develop your specialist skills.</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a part-time Clinical Psychologist (22.5 hours) to join our award-winning team, recently recognised with the Oxford Health 2024 Flexible Team Award. We invest strongly in staff development, offering training, supervision and specialist interest groups to support skills in interventions such as FT-AN, CBT (including CBT-E) and NET.</p>
<p>As a senior team member, you will provide supervision, consultation and leadership, with extensive opportunities for further professional development in these areas.</p>
<p>You will work within our Specialist Eating Disorders Team, part of a CAMHS service alongside a Consultant Psychologist, Band 7 Psychologist, Clinical Associate Psychologists, Trainee Psychologists, CBT Trainees/Therapists and Children's Wellbeing Practitioners.</p>
<p>Staff wellbeing is central to our service. We are a highly supportive team, and managers work with you to ensure manageable caseloads and to help you develop special interests.</p>
<p><em>This position is also open to individuals on a band 7 development pathway. You will need post qualification experience in CAMHS or Eating Disorder service. Unfortunately we cannot accept applications from newly qualified applicants.</em></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

<li>Work within a multidisciplinary team including Psychologists, Family Therapists, Psychotherapists, CWPs, Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.</li>
<li>Access a range of specialist clinics (e.g., LD, NDC, FT, ED) with opportunities for shared learning and expertise.</li>
<li>Deliver high-quality specialist clinical psychology within the CAMHS Eating Disorder Service.</li>
<li>Provide assessment, formulation, risk assessment and evidence-based care plans for children and young people with eating disorders and complex mental health needs.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including Salisbury District Hospital</li>
</ul>
<p>We have a strong psychology network and professional leadership across the 5 CAMHS teams in BSW (Bath and Northeast Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire) and strong links with the Doctoral Training course at Bath University.</p>
<p>Most clinical work is delivered face to face, with opportunities for regular home working depending on service needs and diary commitments.</p>

Clinical Psychologist -Eating Disorders

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>Are you passionate about Mental Health? Would you like to work within a primary care setting in a friendly, dedicated team?</p> <p>Dorset Steps2Wellbeing, a NHS Talking Therapies (NHS TT) service, are looking to recruit Trainee High Intensity (CBT) Therapists to support adults with common mental health problems. Successful candidates will undertake a 12 month training course at the University of Reading, learning to provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to patients with depression and anxiety disorders. Successful applicants will attend training with the University two days a week and apply their newly learnt skills to a caseload of patients three days a week (including an out of hours clinic).</p> <p>The University provides aLevel 2 accredited course with BABCP. Upon completion trainees will meet criteria to apply for provisional accreditation as a CBT therapist with the BABCP.</p> <p>All our staff are expected to work flexibly, providing a combination of face to face and remote sessions. You will be required to attend 100% of training days with the University.</p> <p>On successful completion of the course, trainees enter our preceptorship program receiving enhanced supervision, peer support meetings and triaged caseload, leading to a permanent band 7 post.</p> <p><strong>The course starts in February 2026. Posts are available in both Urban and Rural teams.</strong></p> <p><strong>Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.</strong></p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

Trainee High Intensity (CBT) Therapist

  <p><strong>We currently have vacancies for PWP trainees to work in the Steps 2 Wellbeing Team, one in our Weymouth team and the other in our Purbeck team. This is an excellent opportunity for people with the appropriate skills to join a highly motivated and committed team.</strong></p>
<p>Steps 2 Wellbeing is a busy, dynamic and progressive service with a friendly and supportive team of qualified clinicians and staff in training.</p>
<p>The role itself is both demanding and rewarding; providing psychological interventions to people with mild to moderate common mental health problems in primary care. We are looking for people with enthusiasm and passion to join our service. Good administrative, time management and communication skills are also essential. Experience of working within mental health, the NHS service or similar organisation is highly desirable.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You would undertake academic training, provided and accredited by <strong>University of Exeter.</strong>Time would be split between University study and on-job training. The on-job training would include learning about CBT-based self-management for clients suffering from mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression, using a stepped-care approach. All trainees will receive intensive supervision and support in their workplace as an integral element of their training.</p>
<p><strong>The post is a full time position, part time applications cannot be considered due to University commitments.</strong></p>

Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

  <p>Dorset HealthCare are seeking to recruit an<strong>Applied Psychologist (Clinical /Counselling Psychologist)</strong>to join the<strong>Glendinning Rehabilitation Inpatient Unit/Community Rehabilitation Team</strong>based in<strong>Dorchester, West Dorset.</strong></p> <p>Both teams have experience of working closely with psychology and value <strong>theApplied Psychologist's</strong>contribution through individual assessment/formulation and wider consultation to the team. You would be directly line managed by a clinical psychologist in a well-established team.</p> <p>The <strong>Applied Psychologist</strong>post is a part-time, permanent position working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. These hours can be met over a four-day period, or we can be flexible to meet your needs.   <p>We are excited to advertise for an Art Psychotherapist to join the Inpatient Psychology Team, to support our vision to offer a range of psychological therapies to clients who are receiving care within the psychiatric inpatient wards in Dorset, at St Ann's in Poole. We welcome applications from those with a passion for engaging individuals and staff teams in the unique benefits that Art Psychotherapy can provide, in individual and group formats, and particularly to those clients that may find it difficult to access standard talking therapy approaches.</p> <p>The Acute Inpatient Psychology Team consists of Clinical/Counselling Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists, with the regular addition where opportunities rise of trainee practitioners such as trainee psychologists and psychotherapists. We pride ourselves in working closely with the multi-disciplinary teams to bring a psychological understanding to patient need across the wards, working alongside our colleagues, to inform care.
