  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>For the provision and development of specialised art, drama, music therapy and psychological services for our patients on Ruby ward. The work will have a particular emphasis on later life issues, including Dementia.</p> <ul>  <li>To assess clients with complex and high risk needs for suitability for individual and group art, drama, music therapy.</li>  <li>To facilitate a treatment program which is flexible and sensitive to the needs of the client group and involve clients in group and one to one work using a variety of modalities associated with their particular discipline (i.e., art therapy, music therapy, dramatherapy) in a therapeutic and creative and safe way.</li>  <li>To work as part of a multidisciplinary team in planning, implementing and evaluating treatment, providing assessment and treatment for clients referred to the service and evaluate care.</li>  <li>To provide specialist advice and clinical supervision for other professionals, colleagues or trainees where appropriate.</li>  <li>The post holder will show proof of commitment to continuing professional development.</li>  <li>To work independently, designing and establishing a specialist clinical art, drama, music therapy service for clients.</li> </ul> <p><strong>At KMPT, we are serious about diversity and inclusion, and we are working hard to build this into our DNA. University days are likely to be a hybrid training approach with a combination of remote and face-to-face teaching in Tunbridge Wells. Full details of the course will be provided by the University following successful appointment. Whilst your clinical practice will include some remote working, you will be expected to attend our clinics for part of the week, including one late shift from 12:00-8:00pm.</p> <p>You will provide High Intensity CBT interventions recommended by NICE to clients with moderate to severe common mental health disorders and will receive weekly supervision provided by both the university and the workplace.</p> <p>This is a training position with a start date of&nbsp;19th January for induction with Vita Health Group and 2nd February for university teaching. Upon successful completion of the course you will be offered a permanent High Intensity Therapist role within VHG, however we cannot guarantee it will be in the current service area.</p> <p><strong>Preceptorship Period Post-Training</strong><br>We think it is important that our trainees get continued time and space to learn their craft and have the time to be able to reflect on their cases and build their clinical confidence. After the training is complete, we will continue to support you to consolidate your learning.
