<p>We are looking for a full time Associate Specialist doctor (non-consultant grade) to work in our Medium (MSU) and Low secure (LSU) Forensic Mental Health Services.</p>
<p>Farmfield Hospital is a purpose-built secure hospital which comprises of four MSU ward and two LSU wards for male service users. The hospital is centrally located with excellent transport links to London and Brighton.</p>
<p>Applications are invited for an experienced full-time Associate Specialist doctor to provide medical support to the consultant, and to function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team. Secretarial support is provided.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to build effective relationships with service users, colleagues and other professionals. Good IT skills are essential.</p>

<p>Join the team at Farmfield Hospital in Charlwood, Surrey as a 0.6FTE&nbsp;Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will be providing strategic leadership and expert psychiatric leadership and clinical oversight within forensic mental health services, acting as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act and delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care to individuals involved with the criminal justice system.</p>
<p>As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will take on RC responsibility for male service users on our medium secure wards. The RC will have the support of a non-consultant grade doctor as well as secretarial support.</p>
<p><strong>Where you will be working:</strong></p>
<p>Farmfield Hospital is a 64-bed secure unit with both MSU and LSU wards for male patients. The hospital is purpose built and run by the highly experienced Elysium Healthcare group. The hospital is in the beautiful county of Surrey and has excellent transport links to London and Brighton. Gatwick airport is practically next door!</p>
<p>Working with an established multi-professional team, you will deliver individualised care and have access to a large and supportive peer group of like-minded professionals.</p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>

    <li>Ensure the adequate working of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) for patients.</li>

  <p>The post is based in one of our multi-disciplinary Community Teams for People with Learning Disabilities (Adults) covering West Surrey and North East Hampshire with three office bases in Guildford, Aldershot and Chertsey. There is an expectation to work across the patch.</p> <p>The successful applicant will join a team of Speech and Language Therapists already working in East and West Community Teams as well as in the Neurodevelopmental, Children and Young Person's, Older Age Adults and Forensic services.</p>  <p><strong>We will provide:</strong></p> <p> Active encouragement to access formal CPD</p> <p> Supportive MDT working e.g. ASD assessment pathway and Positive Support Clinics. </p> <p> Robust individual and group supervision including MDT group supervision </p> <p> Appraisal programme</p> <p> Excellent in-house training offering for leadership and soft skills courses.</p> <p> Access to AHP Lead and AHP conferences.</p> <p>Our Speech &amp; Language Therapists are committed to supporting individuals, their support networks and multi-disciplinary colleagues in the promotion of effective communication in a proactive, person-centred way.
