St Nicholas’ School is a thriving, forward-looking independent day School for girls aged 3 - 16 and boys 3 - 7. Pupils at St Nicholas’ School are highly motivated and keen to learn.We are looking for an experienced school counsellor to provide a part-time counselling service to the school. This will be part of a multidisciplinary team that supports the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of pupils at St Nicholas’ School.
The School Counsellor will provide a professional, flexible and confidential counselling service to pupils. It is expected that the Counsellor will visit the school during school hours (to be agreed in advance) with flexibility in terms of days and hours, although generally appointments take place in the morning or afternoon, at school, during term time, to provide counselling to pupils referred by the school to fit in with school timetables. The successful applicant will have experience in working with young people and have the relevant counselling qualifications, appropriate professional indemnity insurance and be a member of a professional body.
The post-holder will work on a self-employed (peripatetic) basis.
