We are working with a leading UK contractor to recruit an experienced Health, Safety &amp; Wellbeing Manager for a high-profile construction project based in Devon. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nationally respected business delivering complex, high-value schemes across the public and private sectors. About the Role You ll be the central point of contact for all Health, Safety &amp; Wellbeing matters on site leading, coordinating, and promoting a proactive safety culture across the project. Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Lead all site-based HSW initiatives and act as the project s health &amp; safety lead</li> <li>Cascade key HSW communications, lessons learned, and performance reports to site teams</li> <li>Chair regular Health &amp; Safety meetings, ensuring actions are implemented and tracked</li> <li>Conduct Site Safety Inspections and record findings using digital platforms (e.g., Novade)</li> <li>Assist in developing RAMS and specialist risk assessments with subcontractors</li> <li>Ensure the Construction Phase Plan and all CDM obligations are met</li> <li>Deliver behavioural safety briefings and training across the project team</li> <li>Analyse trends from inspections and incident reports to drive continual improvement</li> <li>Review compliance documents from subcontractors and track performance</li> <li>Support investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses in line with company procedures</li> <li>Provide regular reports to senior management on key safety metrics and legal compliance</li> </ul> Requirements: <ul> <li>Significant experience as a Health, Safety &amp; Wellbeing Manager within the construction industry</li> <li>Strong understanding of UK construction legislation, CDM, and compliance procedures</li> <li>Experience working on public sector or secure projects is advantageous</li> <li>Confident leading meetings, delivering training, and liaising with stakeholders</li> <li>Proficient in using digital safety systems such as Novade or Dalux (advantageous)</li> <li>NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health &amp; Safety qualifications (essential)</li> <li>Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to manage own workload and support site teams in a fast-paced environment</li> </ul> What is on offer: <ul> <li>Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience and qualifications</li> <li>Generous car allowance</li> <li>Private medical (individual cover)</li> <li>26 days annual leave plus bank holidays</li> <li>Pension matched up to 7.5%</li> <li>Family friendly benefits</li> </ul>
