Prospero Teaching have exciting opportunities for Art Therapy Tutors to work with young people in the Bridport area. If you have a passion for art and experience supporting learners with additional needs, this could be the perfect role for you.About the Role: You will deliver engaging, creative sessions to young people who may have additional needs such as:<ul><li>SEN (Special Educational Needs)</li><li>SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)</li><li>Trauma</li><li>At risk of PEX (Permanent Exclusion)</li></ul>Your work will make a real difference, helping learners build confidence and develop skills through art-based approaches.About you:<ul><li>At least 1 year of experience in UK schools in roles such as Tutor, Teacher, Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, ELSA, 1:1 support, Art Teacher, Art Therapist, Counsellor and so on.</li><li>A background in art, art therapy, or related fields</li><li>Experience working with learners with additional needs</li></ul> As a Tutor, You Will: <ul><li>Plan and deliver tailored art-based sessions to meet individual learning needs</li><li>Support emotional well-being and encourage positive engagement</li><li>Work 1:1 or in small groups with learners who may have complex needs</li><li>Maintain a safe, inclusive, and creative learning environment</li></ul>Position -Art Tutor Contract or position start date - ASAP Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A Full time/part-time - Part Time Hours - Various Essential &amp; Desirable Qualifications:<ul><li><ul><li><ul><li>Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people</li></ul></li></ul></li></ul>To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:<ul><li>Hold right to work in the UK</li><li>Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application</li><li>Provide references upon request</li><li>Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)</li></ul>
