This includes providing guided self-help in both 1:1 and group formats, in line with the current Step 2 IAPT guidelines. You will&nbsp;form part of the directorate wide leadership team striving for excellence and ensuring clinically compliant services are provided in with national frameworks and Rethink Mental Illness values and behaviours.   <p>This is an exciting
opportunity to for an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor to join the
team at the new Regional Learning Disability and Autism Unit in Dawlish from
mid-2025 (The Brook). The new regional service based in Dawlish
will offer inpatient support to both adults with a learning disability and
autistic adults. The building and environment will be state of the art and the
service aims to become a centre of excellence.</p><p>Our work is integral
to the evidence based care pathways, contributing to the formulation and
planning of Positive Proactive Support Plans, Reducing Restrictive Practice, stopping
over medication of people with a learning disability (STOMP), trauma informed
care and much more. We have a strong role in supporting the development of
capable environments around the needs of our client group. Our core business as
an Occupational Therapy team is assessment and intervention to promote
engagement in meaningful occupations to maximise health and wellbeing.</p><p>We have excellent clinical leadership and
supervision structures; hold regular Occupational Therapy meetings which
include linking in with the wider trust AHPs, and encourage regular CPD and learning
opportunities to develop skills across a variety of areas.</p><p><strong>Interview dates are planned for 19th August &amp; also 21st August 2025 if an additional day is required.</strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We are looking for
an imaginative, creative and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Technical
Instructor to work with people with learning disabilities and autistic adults
displaying distressed behaviour who have complex needs. The post holder will
focus on supporting assessment and providing Occupational Therapy interventions,
under the guidance and supervision of the Occupational Therapist, that improve
peoples wellbeing and quality of life by promoting engagement in meaningful activity
and inclusion in their community.</p><p>The post holder
will pro-actively work alongside the Occupational Therapist, within the multi-disciplinary
team contributing to care planning, risk management and the planning and
organisation of daily activities on the ward.
The post holder will participate in the internal rotation system
including weekend working and will receive the paid enhancements associated

Medical Lead - Consultant Psychiatrist

The Brighton and Hove Clinic is a specialist inpatient eating disorder unit for children and adolescents.</p>
<p>Reporting directly to the consultant clinical psychologist, you will be responsible for the delivery of evidence-based individual and group interventions, facilitation of formulation meetings and supervision of other members of the psychology team. You will form part of a diverse multi-disciplinary team, with opportunities for joint working, family liaison and systemic interventions. You may also be involved in the facilitation of staff reflective practice sessions; nursing team debriefs and the design and delivery of training to the multi-disciplinary team.</p>

<p>Brighton &amp; Hove Clinic provides a CAMHS Tier 4 eating disorder service for young people aged 12 to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder: or those with eating difficulties with other co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and self-harming behaviours. Our patients can also present with co-morbid attachment difficulties, ASC (both diagnosed and undiagnosed) and with emotion regulation difficulties. We provide individualised and formulation driven treatment programmes to support children and adolescents to begin their recovery and transition safely back into the community. Interventions include individual therapy, systemic family therapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic and activity groups, meal support sessions and a psychoeducational family support group.</p>
<p>The role is an exciting opportunity to join an established and passionate psychology team (made up of a Consultant clinical psychologist, Highly specialist cognitive-behaviour therapist, Apprentice clinical associate psychologist and Assistant psychologist), whilst also contributing to the development of an individualised and patient-centred service committed to improving clinical practice and effectiveness.
