
Workforce Planner - Occupational Health
An opportunity for a Workforce Planner has arisen for PAM OH solutions. We are seeking an experienced/motivated individual to provide an effective service, ensuring maximum clinical utilisation.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
This is a very busy role and involves working closely with several teams across the Occupational Health business and the wider PAM group. The role therefore requires excellent communication and analytical skills. Previous experience in a similar role and environment is advantageous but not essential. Your duties will include:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement robust scheduling to ensure optimal utilisation of clinical resource.
Diary Management: Overseas the daily and long-term planning of clinicians’ diaries, ensuring appointment slots are fully booked and aligned with service demand.
Holiday Authorisation: Manage and authorise clinicians’ holiday requests, ensuring adequate service coverage and minimal disruption to appointment availability.
Collaboration: Work closely with operational and clinical leads to align scheduling with operational goals.
System Optimization: Leverage scheduling software and tools to streamline booking processes and reduce inefficiencies.
Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as clinician utilization rates, appointment fill rates, and cancellations.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or gaps in service coverage.
Reporting: Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on resource planning performance and improvement opportunities.
Capacity Forecasting: Analyse historical data and future trends to forecast demand and adjust resource allocation accordingly.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Strong understanding of appointment scheduling systems and clinical workflows
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities

Salary range
