<p>This is an opportunity for a qualified counsellor to join our team. You will be working in a supportive team environment where you can benefit from flexible working whilst supporting adults by providing specialist bereavement counselling from Glangwili General Hospital site.</p>
<p>The Bereavement Support Service is a specialist Counselling Service within Carmarthenshire. The successful applicant will be based in Carmarthen, however will need to be willing to travel to other sites within Carmarthenshire if required, such as our partner site at Ty Bryngwyn. We offer a blended model of engagement, including the use of virtual platforms as well as face to face.</p>
<p>The applicant will require experience working within a team and in providing bereavement counselling.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will be working within the Bereavement Support Service providing counselling to service users within Carmarthenshire, however you will need to be willing to work across the county of Carmarthenshire within Hywel Dda University Health Board if required. You will be conducting assessments and providing counselling supportwith a mixed model approach face to face, telephone and online<strong>.</strong> You will be required to work autonomously as part of a team, alongside and in partnership with other Healthcare professionals and Services within clinical settings.</p>
<p>The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.</p>

Counsellor on Placement Edinburgh

<p>Building on SEL Mind s comprehensive <strong>Mindful Mums and Being Dad</strong> (MMBD) programmes, we are seeking to appoint a <strong>Perinatal Counsellor</strong> to provide one-to-one talking therapy to expectant and new parents in Lewisham.</p> <p>The focus will be reducing the anxiety of expectant parents during pregnancy and in the immediate postnatal period. The service will offer structured counselling sessions to parents, tailored to individual needs, cultural context and preferences.</p> <p>The Counsellor will draw upon the wealth of experience within the wider MMBD team and strong links with local professional networks including Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team, Maternity Steering Group and Lewisham Perinatal Mental Health and Parent-Infant Relationship Network.</p> <p>You will have experience of working with clients within the perinatal period as a counsellor post qualification, including conducting clinical assessments and risk assessments. You will be confident in managing a caseload, regularly reviewing and monitoring clients and working with people from diverse communities. <strong>Successful candidates must provide evidence of their registration with a professional counselling body e.g. BACP.</strong></p> <p>The expectations of the role are to support a minimum of 20 clients within the first year. Client work will be delivered within confidential spaces in Family Hubs across Lewisham Borough. Ideally client work will be delivered in one full day, supporting an average of 5 clients.
