There is a strong emphasis on teamwork and CPD at The Farndon Unit where you will have access to a range of training opportunities to move your career forward. <p><strong>As Psychologist you will:</strong></p>

  <p>The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) were established in Nottingham City in February 2020, providing an early intervention and preventative service for over 892 children and young people and their families so far. This includes providing support for anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties, as well as running workshops to groups of children within educational settings, on themes such as transition, resilience and wellbeing, general wellbeing hacks, worry and distractions and emotions through puberty.</p><p>Currently MHST are supporting children and young people in over 70 educational settings, which will increase over the next 18 months to around 100 sites across the city. The expansion is being funded through £1.01m from NHS England and Health Education England as part of a national initiative.</p><p>We work in partnership with the school community and other wellbeing services to develop a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing, building on what is being done already.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Systemic Family Therapist to join the North Derbyshire CAMHS service. The post holder will provide systemic family therapy to young people under all areas of community CAMHS but predominantly those under core CAMHS. The post will be based in both Chesterfield and Buxton.</p> <p>There will be the opportunity to work alongside the lead Systemic Family Therapist and a number of qualified, Systemic Practitioners.</p> <p>We offer opportunities to support the larger CAMHS team to consider the Systemic aspects of their work, by facilitating systemic consultations, clinical supervision and mentoring practice.</p> <p>The postholder will have a Masters degree qualified in Family Therapy, UKCP registered and be experienced in working with complex family dynamics &amp; high levels of risk</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will be required to work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of evidenced based Systemic Family Therapy to children &amp; young people with a wide range of complex mental health difficulties. You will work within a passionate,enthusiastic, compassionate team and will be expected to provide supervision and consultation to colleagues and take part in CPD and pathway development activities as necessary.</p>

<p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>

    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
    <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>
