  <p>This post provides a fantastic opportunity to lead the integrated schools pathway in Central Beds, forming innovative and forward-looking services that are developing substantially across Central Bedfordshire . In Central Beds this includes an established our Wave 7, 11 Mental Health Support Teams (MHST), SCAS and our upcoming Wave 14 Team in January 2026. Mental Health Support Teams are part of an exciting project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community in response to the government's Green Paper for Young People's Mental Health. Bedfordshire &amp; Luton CAMHS have been successful in benefitting from significant investment in this area. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will be the Integrated Lead for the schools pathway teams across the Luton locality as we move towards an integrated schools offer in the coming year, and they will work with team operational leads and with the overall strategic Clinical Lead for CAMH Access Services to offer a comprehensive first step in mental health support, accessible and acceptable for all communities living in Luton, following the Thrive model. The post holder will lead the development of a wide range of targeted interventions, projects and system change with the aim of delivering whole school and community approaches to supporting young people's mental health. We aim to develop an integrated neighbourhood-based core offer to all schools across the locality, and an enhanced offer where there is greater need (such as in communities with greater health inequalities) over the next two years. </p>

  <p>As a psychology team we draw on a range of therapeutic modalities including Narrative, CBT, Systemic, ACT, compassion focussed therapy. There are opportunities to work in creative, formulation-driven ways with young people and families. You will be offering individual, family, parent and group psychological interventions, as well as working within GOSH MDTs and with external agencies.</p> <p>There is a strong commitment to continuing professional development in line with job planning. A range of academic teaching is offered within the department as well as special interest groups in medicalised trauma, medically unexplained symptoms, narrative therapy, cognitive assessment, and others. <p>Croydon Drop In (CDI) are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Student Volunteer Counsellors on Placement to work within our award-winning Voluntary Sector services. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for children and young people using evidence-based methodologies. <p>Counselling training providers usually require you to obtain a certain amount of client contact hours with adults i.e. 18 years plus, therefore it’s important to note that the majority of clients accessing our CDI counselling services are under 18 years of age. As a student placement provider, CDI makes for an ideal 2nd placement that will ensure you have adequate young people contact hours, largely under 18 years of age, providing you with the learning experiences you need to meet the competency requirements of your training course and provider. It is important to check with your training provider, the cap on the number of under 18 years of age clients permitted for your course.</p>
