  <p>We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and innovative Band 6 mental Health Practitioner to join our CMHT. Winchester CMHT is a dynamic, nurturing, and supportive team with excellent peer support and regular supervision. You will manage a reasonable-sized caseload of service users, covering shared care and carrying out assessments. You will be involved in training, mentoring and supervising new and unregistered staff as well as providing excellent front-line clinical care.</p><p>Winchester CMHT provides compassionate, kind and recovery-focused care to our patients, carers and their families. You will need to be able to work autonomously in the community and use your own initiative. The successful candidates will have sound clinical skills, administration and IT skills including be able to type. You will also need excellent assessment and communication skills.   <p>Due to a review of the staffing establishment an exciting opportunity has arisen for additional Band 4 Nursery Nurses to join the team at the East London Mother &amp; Baby Unit.</p>
<p>Applicants for this position will need to be a nursery nurse with the appropriate training, experience of working with babies and who are able to demonstrate interest in Perinatal Mental Health.</p>
<p>Working in a Mother &amp; Baby Unit is a unique role for nursery nurses to work within an inpatient mental health ward, supporting babies and their mothers who are experiencing mental health difficulties.</p>
<p>The East London Mother and Baby unit is a 12 bedded unit based within the City &amp; Hackney Centre for Mental Health.</p>
<p>This family-centred specialist Mother and Baby Unit cares for people who experience severe mental health difficulties during the later stages of pregnancy and following the birth. The mothers are either experiencing mental health problems ante-natally or up to one year post-natally and require direct support in ensuring care of the infant is upheld whilst supporting the mother through their own recovery.</p>
<p>The ward team consists of registered mental health nurses, nursery nurses, social therapists and a life skills recovery worker. This work is further enhanced in therapy by a psychologist, occupational therapist, parent-infant psychotherapist, art therapist and dance movement therapist.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a sound knowledge of caring effectively for infants under 1 year and to use this knowledge to teach and guide colleagues and mums.</p> <p>Assess and implementcare for infants and ensuring needs are met and that mum is supported to provide safe and effective care to baby.</p> <p>To contribute to the development of standards of care for both mothers and babies on the unit, proving feedback as necessary and taking positive steps towards implementing necessary change</p> <p>To support wider family network as necessary around knowledge and care of babies.</p> <p>Any successful applicant will also be expected to support the City and Hackney Centre for Mental Health in providing care and treatment and upholding the safety of both patients and staff within the unit.</p> <p>You will be expected to work Long days, nights and weekends. Home first is the ideal outcome for many patients leaving the hospital and providing more care in a persons own home is preferred, but a temporary stay in a setting that that can provide 24-hour care is sometimes required. The Recovery Hub does this, enabling early discharge from the hospital and reducing hospital admissions. The hub delivers complex rehabilitative care for the older adults in Leeds and the nursing care is delivered alongside a wider multi-disciplinary team. The focus always is on the individual, helping them progress to going home. 
We provide training, clinical supervision, and access to a peer support network. We won't just stop there though, we are proud of our career progression pathways that will allow you to develop your clinical, leadership, and preceptorship skills. Wharfedale Recovery Hub service works on a shift pattern and covers 24 hours, 7 days a week.

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>ou will be a registered staff nurse and have excellent assessment, planning and evaluation skills to deliver clinical care to patients and support our Nursing Assistants.
You will coordinate and manage care ensuring that all calls are effectively assessed, triaged, allocated and recorded. You will have an overview of the service as a whole to ensure that patients and staff remain safe and care is appropriate and effective overnight. E.g. re-allocating work to cover unexpected staff absence.  At times you will be expected to work clinically and deliver direct patient care, though the majority of your role will be clinical triage via telephone. 
You must have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills as you will be coordinating care for a large number of complex patients.
You will provide clinical leadership, including line management of Band 5 Staff Nurses, and oversee line management of our Band 3 Nursing Assistants.
You must be able to think on your feet, problem solve and juggle conflicting priorities as well as motivate others in challenging times and utilise the resources available to you effectively.
The hours of work are 17:00pm-22:00pm over 7 days a week (including bank holidays).  The role is based from Hunslet Health Centre, though it is expected that you could travel across the city of Leeds during your shift to deliver patient care. 
It would be expected that you are available to work on a rota over 7 evenings per week, 365 days per year.
