* To undertake appropriate clinical evaluation of the patients and other tasks for effective running of the research
* To participate in data analysis, manuscript writing (both original research and review) and publications.
* To attend research meetings and seminars within the group and at scientific conferences

* To plan and help with the writing of future research proposals for funding and fellowship 
applications under the direction of Prof Edison

  <p>We are recruiting a Band 7 Senior Clinical Supervisor to lead our newest Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in Havering, launching in January 2026. Locally known as the Havering Emotional Support Team (HEST), our service began in 2022 with two teams, expanded to a third in 2023, and is now growing again. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop a new team, working at the forefront of children and young people's mental health and wellbeing.</p>
<p>Our MHSTs work in partnership with schools, colleges, and community services to provide early access to evidence-based support. We are a motivated, multicultural team passionate about innovation, quality improvement, and research, with recent collaborations including projects with Edge Hill University.</p>
<p>As Senior Clinical Supervisor, you will provide leadership, supervision, and clinical expertise to ensure high-quality care for children, young people, and their families. You will also build strong relationships with schools and local partners to embed a whole-school approach to emotional wellbeing across Havering and Waltham Forest.</p>
<p>The MHST Senior Supervisor/ Senior Therapist will be responsible for the caseload management &amp; supervision of the Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) . The post holder will also work with other senior colleagues in developing MHSTs and facilitate wider service transformation.</p>

  <p>Psychologists are integral and valued key members of the Mental Health Care of Older People's multidisciplinary teams (MHCOP) in each borough across East London. Within and across the service, in line with National Guidance, the post holder will be responsible and accountable for the provision of high quality, person-centred and culturally sensitive psychological services to older adults presenting to the service, their families and carers. Our goal is to alleviate psychological distress and promote psychological well-being, working alongside our multi-disciplinary team colleagues in the community and liaison into the centralised wards, where required through consultation, teaching and training.</p>

  <p>The post holder will be an active member of City and Hackney's Mental Health Care of Older Adult's service including the centralised MHCOP inpatient wards and wider East London MHCOP Psychology and Arts therapies professional group.</p> <p>They will work closely with psychologists and other professionals in the team maintaining a standardised approach to the assessment and care of Service Users with complex needs across community and inpatient settings.
