  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAMHS Clinician to join the NCL Home Treatment Team in CYPMHS as CAMHS Practitioner. NCEL CAMHS Home Treatment Team (HTT) provides a community based intensive provision as an alternative to in-patient care for children and young people. HTT service operates within the NHS Long Term Plan and NCEL objectives, focusing on improving access, reducing hospital admissions, and ensuring timely, community-based support for mental health needs. This specification is aligned with the recommendations outlined in the NHS England Guidance (2024) "Urgent and Emergency Mental Health Care for Children and Young People: National Implementation Guidance."</p> <p>HTT offers intensive, short-term interventions designed to stabilise the individual and their family environment, promoting recovery and preventing the need for inpatient care. The service ensures that care is delivered close to home, reducing unnecessary hospital admissions, and promoting recovery through tailored evidence-based interventions. The service operates under the governance of the NCEL Provider Collaborative.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p> To participate in the NCL HTT rapid response to urgent cases including assessment, outreach work, monitoring of risk, mental state and medication side effects, and liaising closely with clinicians involved with the case. To be able to utilise skills flexibly so that interventions can be planned and implemented for clients at home and in other settings. </p> <p> To offer clinical support to staff to enable specialist assessment and treatment to children and young people and their families including those with complex and severe mental health problems in line with the iThrive model.</p> <p> To take part in case conferences, review meetings and planning meetings as appropriate.</p> <p> To offer advice to other professionals within CAMHS and externally, as well as share their expertise in the management of complex cases in a variety of settings.</p> <p> To provide specialist consultation to the families and others involved in the care of the young person.</p> <p> To communicate in a clear and sensitive manner, information concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans for service users and to monitor progress.</p> <p>To work in partnership with key agencies to ensure easy access for children and families into CAMHS.</p>

  <p>Job Type - Full time 37.5 hours, 5 days per week, fixed term training position for 1 year. </p>  <p>We are a well-established Talking Therapies Service looking for enthusiastic High Intensity Trainees to join our friendly team. </p> <p>This is an excellent, but demanding course and candidates are expected to complete all its requirements within 12 months of starting the training. The post involves providing psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions for people with common mental health problems.</p> <p>Please note that we cannot accept applicants without the necessary experience of working in a mental health setting. Experience of working in primary mental health and especially NHS Talking Therapies is desirable.</p> <p>In order to be considered from a PWP background, candidates must have been qualified as a PWP for more than two years by the course start date in order to meet national guidance. It is desirable for candidates from a PWP background to have accreditation from the BPS or BABCP.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p> This intensive training post will equip the post holder to provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) assessments and NICE-recommended CBT treatment to people presenting with moderate to severe depression and anxiety for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. centre in London. As a Suicide Prevention Therapist, you will be an experienced

  <p>Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters
of those who die by suicide are men. James Place exists to save the lives of
men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently
offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool,
London and Newcastle. </p><p>James Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley
in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days
after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression
and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didnt find
it. </p><p>James' Place was
set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men
who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic
intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James
Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected. We provide
a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside
spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and
families.We have so far treated over 4,300 men who might otherwise have
been unable to access the support they desperately need.</p><p>In early 2026 we
will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham. Our new centre in Birmingham
will be there to support suicidal men living in the West Midlands.</p>

  <p>We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist to join our dynamic Diabetes Psychology Team (30 hours per week).</p> <p>If you are an enthusiastic and motivated clinician with experience in working with people with diabetes or Long-Term Conditions (LTC), and you are passionate about delivering evidence-based psychological interventions and service development, we encourage you to apply.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills within a multidisciplinary team and be involved in a key service development project. Our service is part of the national programme of NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depresssion in adults. We provide low and high-intensity therapies within the standards of a stepped-care model.</p> <p>The successful candidate will have significant experience working in Talking Therapies services and providing brief counselling for patients with depression.</p> <p>Applicants must be accredited with the BACP or equivalent, and ideally be qualified in one or more NICE-recommended psychological therapies for depression (e.g., PCE-CfD, IPT).</p> Salary is dependent on NHS experience and current banding/pay point.  <strong>Proposed Interview date week commencing 5th Jan 2026</strong>
