We expect another brand-new scanner to be operational by spring 2026 also.</p> <p>We deliver a wide range of imaging services, including paediatric GA lists, Radiographer-led pacemaker lists, small bowel imaging and breast imaging, offering an exciting and varied clinical environment.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Clinical Leadership: Act as the clinical lead MRI Radiographer, performing a wide range of complex examinations and supporting the MRI Principal Radiographer in leading radiographers and Clinical Support Workers in the day-to-day running of the service.</p> <p>Service Delivery: Ensure the smooth operation of the MRI department, maintaining high standards of patient care and managing the in-patient waiting list effectively.</p> <p>Education &amp; Training: Organise and oversee the training and education of radiographers and students, including delivery of competency assessments across all aspects of MRI scanning.</p> <p>Service Improvement: Work with the MRI Principal Radiographer and Cross-Sectional Imaging Manager to drive continuous improvement, using modern methods to enhance productivity, support workforce transformation, and contribute to service redesign.</p> <p>Quality Assurance: Lead the MRI QA programme, participate in CPD, audits, and mandatory training, and contribute to the planning, selection, and procurement of new technology and associated facilities.</p> <p>Professional Standards: Take responsibility for your own professional development, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and uphold the highest standards of professional behaviour.</p> <p>Health &amp; Safety: Ensure the safety of patients, colleagues, and visitors by adhering to all magnet safety policies and procedures and all Trust governance policies.</p>

You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of high-quality teaching materials and associated student assessment activities and will contribute to the planning, design and development of modules and programmes and curriculum changes. You will play a key role in establishing an independent research portfolio within the parameters of the school/department research portfolio, and engage in relevant research, professional and knowledge exchange activities as well as having input into administrative duties as required.</p> <p>We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals with a PhD in Psychology or equivalent qualification/experience relevant to the discipline. You will bring strong research and/or applied experience, along with the ability to teach forensic psychology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels through lectures, tutorials, seminars and the supervision of postgraduate research.
