<p>Join the team at Gateway Recovery Centre as a Consultant Psychiatrist&nbsp;providing care and treatment for men and women in&nbsp;specialist inpatient, rehabilitation and low secure settings.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Gateway Recovery Centre is situated in Widnes, close to Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and surrounding areas. There are excellent transport links, which allows the town to be reachable for those travelling across the Northwest.</p>
<p>Gateway Recovery Centre has 72 beds spread across 6 wards.3 wards constitute the women’s service with one acute ward and two level 2 rehabilitation ward for women with high support needs. The other 3 wards provide care to men in specialist rehabilitation unit for men with ASD (Cedar ward), low secure ward (Dove ward) and a rehabilitation ward for older men with complex mental health needs and physical health comorbidities (Ash Ward).</p>
<p>The team consists currently of 4.5 consultants, and you will deliver clinical care to a dedicated caseload. You will be supported by a practice nurse and an enhanced GP service to meet patients’ physical healthcare needs. You will have support from a dedicated supervisor and a medical secretarial team. Specialty doctor cover is available for the acute ward.</p>
<p>You will have access to excellent CPD, and the support of a large peer group of enthusiastic and high-calibre consultants from varied sub-specialties.</p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>Providing RC and consultant psychiatrist input to inpatients </li>
    <li>0.5 wte will carry a case load of 8-12 patients depending on the nature of the service</li>
    <li>Participation in a low frequency second- on-call rota for the region&nbsp;</li>
    <li>Assessing new&nbsp;referrals to ensure that the service meets the needs of those who are admitted.</li>
    <li>Providing leadership to the clinical team&nbsp;and contributing to clinical governance and service development</li>
    <li>Maintaining good relationships with external agencies such as community teams and commissioning bodies.</li>

<p><strong>To be successful in your application, you will need:</strong></p>

<p>As the Forensic/ Clinical/ Counselling/ Neuro Psychologist you will have active participation in multidisciplinary team work, ensuring that our service users are fully engaged in their care pathways.     <li>Providing psychological assessments of patients based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological (and neuropsychological) tests, self-report measures, rating scales direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the patient’s care.</li>
    <li>Formulating plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of acquired brain injury and forensic risk designed around the patient’s needs, and employing methods unpinned by relevant evidence-based practice and appropriate conceptual frameworks.</li>

Trainee Educational Mental Health Practitioner (Warrington)

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The Staff Wellbeing and Support Service is seeking a Practitioner Psychologist to provide compassionate, trauma-informed support to staff within the Health Board. The Service is undergoing a period of transformation due to the previous post-holder leaving to take up a different role within the Health Board, and this is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver valued and inclusive support to staff.</p>
<p>You will be key in supporting our staff to live valued lives both within and outside of work, working in collaboration with people who access our service to formulate complex difficulties and provide tailored brief psychological support. Where required, this support will be trauma-focused, with part of this role offering trauma therapy to staff who have experienced workplace trauma. You will have advanced skills in teaching, supervision and training, as well as exceptional communication skills, to be able to explain and explore the value of staff wellbeing support within multidisciplinary contexts.</p>
<p>We are a small but dedicated team, and we value flexibility, consistency and support for our own wellbeing as well as the Health Board values of compassion, openness and respect.   <p>The successful candidate will undertake a range of assessments with staff and, based on this assessment, will provide intervention or signpost to appropriate services. Supervision of others, delivery of training, leadership and service development will also form an integral part of this role.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
   <p>The post holder will work within <strong>Wigan Talking Therapies</strong> to deliver evidence-based, low-intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) interventions to individuals experiencing common mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression.</p> <p>As part of our dedicated and experienced team, you will receive close support from the management team and regular guidance from Senior PWPs to ensure high-quality clinical practice and professional growth.</p> <p>You will be employed by the <strong>Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust</strong>, benefiting from the resources and stability of a large, well-established organisation, while also being embedded in a local, integrated network of mental health and wellbeing services across Wigan.
