Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience working with people in inpatient settings who may be treated under the Mental Health Act provisions? <p>This permanent Consultant Psychiatrist position (37.5 hours per week) will see you join the established multidisciplinary team at Spring Wood Lodge. The service has 21 beds across two wards in a locked rehabilitation setting providing treatment for women with mental disorders including personality disorders. The wards are well supported by a full complement of multidisciplinary team.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will act as a Consultant / Responsible Clinician for patients in this setting. You will have CCT in General Adult or Forensic psychiatry and experience of working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.&nbsp; You will be part of an environment that specialises in providing rehabilitation utilising positive behavioural support principles and empowering service users in their recovery.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Spring Wood Lodge is located in the outskirts of Leeds at Guiseley and has close links to NHS services with established care pathways. It has excellent transport links to Bradford, Leeds and is within a short distance of Yorkshire Dales National Park.</p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu.</li>
    <li>Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).</li>
    <li>Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of patients.</li>
    <li>Contributing to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service strategy.</li>
    <li>Contributing to in-house training programmes within the services and offering supervision to other members of the multi-disciplinary team, particularly junior medical staff.</li>
    <li>Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements, as determined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodies.</li>

<p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>

    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
    <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>

<p>All clinical hours gained on placement can be used towards accreditation with a body such as BACP and UKCP. <p>Our teams provide a range of services in our partner schools to build resilience early in life through counselling, creative work and play and support a child’s ability to engage in school life.&nbsp; Our work, focused on early intervention, is part of the comprehensive CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) system.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>

Through our professional development programme, we are training around 1,200 Counsellors on Placement each year who build their mental health and counselling skills and experience through practice in our partner schools. We also provide a range of professional development programmes on mental health and wellbeing for school leaders, teachers and other professionals who work with children and young people, so we can help to build ‘mentally healthy’ schools and communities where all children can thrive and flourish.</p>
<p>We continue to pilot,&nbsp;trial&nbsp;and explore new ways in which we can develop our practice as well as share learning, expertise and findings from the robust evidence and evaluation we gather. <strong>HRH The&nbsp;Princess of Wales</strong>&nbsp;is our Royal Patron and Place2Be is one of the founding charity partners of Heads Together. Job Introduction <p>We are currently recruiting for exciting opportunities to join Turning Point and be part of our highly successful and innovative NHS Talking Therapies (formerly known as IAPT) service. At Wakefield Talking Therapies we specialise in evidence-based psychological therapies and we are looking for qualified High Intensity CBT Therapist to lead the CBT and EMDR team, experience of EMDR is of benefit.</p> <p>We support people in the local area who are having difficulty in coping and who may be suffering from a common mental illness such as depression, anxiety or phobias. Our approach embeds the notion of well-being and recovery and promotes personal responsibility for lifestyle choices and self-management of mental well-being. For our clients, this has resulted in a highly accessible and user-friendly service available across a wide geographical area.</p> <p>We provide excellent CPD opportunities for your ongoing growth and development. There are also many opportunities for career progression into areas of leadership or further clinical training.</p> <p>We also offer the opportunity to manage your wellbeing by working flexibly and, as the service is open 7 days a week there are lots of opportunities to ensure this can work for you as well as our clients. We pay incentivised rates of pay for weekend working and additional hours.</p> <p>This is a hybrid role - a combination of service based and home working is optional (minimum 2 days in service according to service need).</p> <p>We offer £1,200 joining bonus (for external candidates only).</p> <p><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>As a High Intensity Team Leader you'll be managing your own caseload, supervising therapists and line managing trainees from across the service, whilst providing leadership across High-intensity service delivery. </p> <p>Leadership skills are essential as you will both line manage and mentor therapists, supporting their development and wellbeing and working as part of a leadership team who work closely to deliver an ethical and innovative service. You will also manage waiting lists, groups and one to one capacity.</p> <p><strong>The Ideal Candidate</strong></p> <p>We are looking for an experienced qualified High Intensity Therapist who is ready to take the next step into the role of Team Leader. You will need outstanding written and telephone communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team to support staff wellbeing, waiting lists and building relationships with external providers.
