  <p>This is a truly exciting time as we change what we do and how we deliver community mental health services. This newly integrated CMH team is developing a pathway for people with psychosis and an enhanced pathway for people with psychosis where meaningful engagement can be a challenge. You will work closely with senior colleagues across our teams and localities on team and service development whilst providing psychological interventions to people with greatest complexity. </p> <p>We want you to feel supported within your role and we are keen see our psychologists flourish and develop with training in Family Interventions (BFT), CBT for Psychosis (CBTp) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for example. We also have access to the Bespoke training platform and an excellent psychological skills development team.</p>

  <p>Dorset CAMHS is recruiting a Lead Clinician for a fixed term period of 6 months to support the expansion of the Mental Health in Schools Support Team based in North &amp; East Dorset.</p> <p>The Mental Health Support Teams are part of an exciting trailblazer project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners, withthe aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community. There is a specific focus on developing moreaccess to helping and improving the general culture of emotional support within all primary and secondary schools including special educationalprovisions and Pupil Referral Units.</p> <p>We are looking for a confident professional with a demonstrable track record of providing quality evidenced based interventions. You will have significant experience of supervising clinicians and be able to evidence operational leadership skills and abilities. There will be opportunities to carry a small caseload where you would provide comprehensive assessments, risk management and interventions for young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties.</p> <p><strong>This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Working alongside community partners the three Mental Health Support Teams in Dorset are fully integrated with community CAMHS and educationalsettings.</p> <p>You will help to oversee the delivery of clinical work within the project, ensuring that a wide range of evidence based interventionsare used to support young people's mental health.</p> <p>You will provide clinical supervision and leadership to more junior colleagues and will be involved with developing clinical operational processes for the delivery of clinical interventions in schools.</p> <p><strong>Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. We create a safe place in schools where children and young people can open up without pressure or stigma, allowing our highly skilled and diverse counsellors to reach children, young people and their families who need us.</p>
<p>A qualified therapist/ counsellor, you’ve been working in the profession for at least a year, and now it’s time to take the next step.&nbsp; As a Place2Be Supervising Counsellor&nbsp;your main focus is assessment and formulation of referrals and supporting and overseeing the work of the Counsellors on Placement enabling them to deliver interventions across all year groups and achieve the best outcomes for the young people we support. You’ll still deliver some therapeutic work with children yourself, including some group/whole class work, but ultimately, you’ll be shaping clinical delivery of services within the school you operate. </p>
