Our Southend, Essex and Thurrock services cover 144 schools currently. We currently cover 48% of secondary and primary school within those areas.</p> <p>The MHST deliver evidence-based individual and group interventions in educational settings for children experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties aged 4 to 18 years old. The teams also have a strong focus on whole school approaches to improve mental health outcomes for children and young people.</p> <p>The MHSTs build on the support already in place from school counsellors, nurses, educational psychologists and the voluntary sector to support those with mild to moderate mental health issues in school and will help children and young people with more severe needs to access the right support and provide a link to the CAMHS services.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will be responsible for delivering interventions within MHSTs in and round schools and colleges whilst receiving clinical supervision.</p> <p>Act as an autonomous, registered (where appropriate) practitioner who is legally and professionally accountable for own unsupervised actions guided by the professional code of conduct and Trust guidelines and protocols.</p> <p>Initiate referrals to other health professional specialist services and agencies.</p> <p>To provide expert emotional wellbeing and mental health support as part of plans to transform CYPs mental health through the NHS Long- Term Plan.</p> <p>To undertake school based and community-based assessments, risk assessments, care plans and to deliver a range of early interventions to CYP with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties.</p> <p>Responsible, and accountable, for service delivery to clients/patients, via NICE compliant pathways and in accordance with the crisis care concordat.</p> <p>Provide leadership and to promote initiative, creativity and motivation in the MHSTs.</p> <p>To routinely measure clinical outcomes and deliver evidence-based interventions.</p> <p>To communicate complex patient related information facilitating positive outcomes and ensuring collaborative working.</p> <p>To support peers and team leader and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative.   <p>This post holder will have their own caseload of complex medical in patients. They will provide clinical and managerial support to the therapy team working in specialty areas including infectious diseases, cardiology and respiratory medicine. Part of this role is to provide expert input to improve patient outcomes, facilitate discharge planning and provide supervision to the band 5 OT, students and Therapy Assistants. They will receive regular supervision and peer support as well as have opportunities for study, leadership and in-house training.</p> <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and experienced Occupational Therapist who has significant experience of working with people with a variety of medical conditions.   <p>We are proud to be developing new roles for Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners to join our experienced workforce in Hertfordshire.</p>
<p>The post holder will have a desire to develop their skills in working with adults with severe and enduring mental illness, some of whom will have not had previous access to psychologically informed interventions.</p>
<p>The post-holder will work collaboratively with service users, their families, carers, and multi-disciplinary team members to provide assessment, care planning and coordination of care, supporting collaborative decision-making about care and treatment.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>This role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of the radiotherapy/proton beam therapy review team at UCLH. The post holder will undertake rotations between the photon and proton departments. The role involves working and leading within the Radiotherapy Review Team; reviewing patients during their treatment and supporting them both physically and psychologically throughout their radiotherapy journey. They will be required to ensure there is an appropriate plan for the on-treatment review of each patient and a mechanism of communication to the wider MDT. The post holder will play a key role in helping patients understand the treatment process, toxicity and likely side effects of radiotherapy, along with providing them with advice on how to self-care and manage their symptoms appropriately. Any proton beam therapy or photon beam thearpy training required relating to managing side effects of this treatment and other required underpinning knowledge will be provided. Training for on treatment review and independent/supplementary prescribing if required will be supported.The photon department is equipped with Varian TrueBeam systems and a Halcyon with advanced imaging packages and 6DoF couches. The department has a comprehensive brachytherapy suite and a Gulmay skin unit. UCLH is one of only two NHS sites delivering proton beam therapy across the NHS.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To work with Review Radiographers, Radiotherapy Sisters, Charge Nurses and Staff Nurses, leading as part of the review team.To review patient's during their course of photon or proton treatment and to support them both physically and psychologically throughout their treatment.To ensure there is an appropriate plan for the on-treatment review of each patient and a mechanism of communication of untoward effectsTo lead on service evaluations, audits and projects under a quality improvement framework within the scope of the Review TeamTo leave in teaching, development and appraisal of members of the Review TeamTo help patients understand the treatment process, toxicity and likely side effects of radiotherapy both during and after treatment. Patients should be encouraged to report side effects and advised how to manage symptoms appropriately.To ensure patients' side effects are treated appropriately and efficiently.To give verbal and written information if required.To enable them to discuss any concerns they may have and to feel supported during their treatment.To refer patients as necessary to other health care professionals e.g. dieticians, counsellors etc. and community agencies as needed.To ensure that appropriate follow up arrangements are made and continuity of care communicated to the patient and any other appropriate health care profession. </p>

<p>Croydon Drop In (CDI) are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Volunteer Counsellor to work within our award-winning Voluntary Sector services. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for children and young people using evidence-based methodologies. The post holder will safely work with people across different cultural backgrounds and ages and will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.</p>
<p>Counselling is delivered by experienced qualified contracted counsellors, and our team is supported by qualified volunteer counsellors who wish to give back to the community, require a stepping stone to a paid counselling role or are independently working toward increasing their client contact hours or are working toward their accreditation.</p>
<p>To meet the standard criteria you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Ba a graduate or at post graduate level in counselling or have completed a level 4 Diploma or equivalent in Therapeutic Counselling</li>
<li>Be a Registered Member or an Accredited Member of the BACP membership or equivalent with a professional standards authority (e.g. UKCP, HPC)</li>
<li>Have two years minimum duration of personal counselling or psychotherapy.</li>
