<p>We are looking for a an experienced and passionate&nbsp;Mental Health Support&nbsp;Worker to join our Gloucestershire Connect &amp; Offload Helpline Team.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>This will be a homebased role on a bank contract.&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Your role as a Mental Health Helpline Worker will be based on the Gloucestershire Mental Health Helpline – CandO (Connect and Offload). This role will be home based, working within a fixed four weekly rotational shift pattern. Each shift commences at 2pm and ends at 9pm and the Helpline is open 365 days per year.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Gloucestershire Mental Health Support Team for the recruitment of Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner's (EMHP) or Children's Wellbeing Practitioners.</p>
<p>In line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the EMHP role is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors.</p>
<p>Successful candidates will be employed on a full-time basis based within Gloucestershire, and will play a key role as members of the Mental Health Support Team, who will have the responsibility for delivering schools' overarching approach to providing mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people.</p>
<p>Potential candidates will have already successfully completed the HEE commissioned 1yr 'Education Mental Health Practitioner' course or the equivalent 'Children's Wellbeing Practitioner' course.</p>
<p>As part of this role there may be a requirement to travel across the localities.</p>

  <p>We are a small supportive Psychological Therapies team, working across Stroud and Cirencester. We currently consist of two Clinical Psychologists, an Art Psychotherapist, CBT Nurse Therapist and a Clinical Associate Psychologist.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, conscientious, caring and motivated Therapy Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive Medicine therapy team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will join our experienced integrated therapy team, working alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Support workers and the wider multidisciplinary team. The Therapy Team play a fundamental role in person-centred care as well as safe and effective discharge planning.</p>
<p>We are looking for an individual who is motivated, enthusiastic and flexible in all areas of care and their approach to work. The ability to work well with all members of the multi- disciplinary team is essential. You will need to have excellent communication skills, have a positive attitude, compassionate, and be able to work as part of a team. Being able to motivate and encourage patients in an active way to regain and maintain their independence is important.</p>
<p>As a Therapy Department we pride ourselves on developing staff with a dedicated Research and Development team. We also have a well-established and dedicated Peer Support group in all disciplines.</p>
  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Work as an integral member of the therapy team using the principles of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy in an integrated and client-centred way. The post holder will implement assessments and treatment plans to promote independence.</p>
<p>To implement and progress delegated treatment programmes using clinical reasoning skills to include the teaching of patients on functional exercise, the issuing and fitting of equipment and the practice of activities of daily living. It will also include assessing patients in the safe use of mobility aids, such as safety on the stairs and personal care.</p>
<p>Undertake specific unaccompanied work and organise own caseload comprising of patients with predictable and unpredictable conditions.</p>
<p>Use verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients/carers.</p>
<p>Prepare the clinical area and the patient, for delivery of safe and effective treatments in a clean environment e.g. securing drips, drains, wounds and catheters and maintain treatment and storage areas to ensure compliance with Health and Safety .</p>
<p>Monitor and maintain stock levels of equipment .</p>
<p>To undertake administrative and housekeeping tasks to support the Therapy team .</p>
<p>Make accurate and legible entries in the therapy and multidisciplinary patient records. To use computer systems related to patient care for purposes of recording information and ordering equipment.</p>
<p>To participate in the weekend working rota where applicable.</p>
