  <p><strong>This post is offered on a permanent basis. The hours are part time for 22.5 hours a week.</strong></p>  <p>We are looking for an experienced Band 6 to join the Children's Autism and ADHD Assessment Service (CAAAS).</p>  <p>CAAAS is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Specialist Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Paediatricians, Psychiatrists and Administrators which offers assessments for Autism and ADHD for children in Gloucestershire.</p>  <p>The service is relatively new (opened September 2022) and has been coproduced with families and developed in line with the NHS 10 year plan. As a new service we continue to develop and explore how best to offer a high quality evidence based service, whilst addressing significant demand and long wait times.</p>  <p>When the service was developed, although it was developed as an assessment only service, there was recognition of the importance of the role of Occupational Therapy to support understanding of the sensory world of neurodiverse young people, alongside supporting with activities of daily living and understanding motor skill differences. This role was therefore developed to offer some limited post diagnostic support to families around these areas.</p>  <p>We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic , knowledgeable, and thoughtful team member who can help us to continue to offer so key pieces of Occupational Therapy support to the families who need it most.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The role is supported and supervised by our Band 7 Occupational Therapist.</p>  <p>You main roles would include:</p> <ul>  <li>working with the band 7 OT to complete functional assessments, create personalised plans for families and supporting them to implement these</li>  <li>Complete sensory based pieces of work, using the sensory rooms at Evergreen House or Acorn House</li>  <li>Complete Movement ABC assessments as part of DCD assessment</li>  <li>Co-facilitate group based support for families</li>  <li>Support as part of the assessment team for children with clear needs</li>  <li>Work closely with the MDT to support the understanding the development of functional skills and sensory differences</li> </ul> <p><strong>The qualification, training &amp; experience requirements for the role are underlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.</strong></p>

  <p><strong>Inpatient Complex Psychological Interventions: Recovery and Acute Wards</strong></p> <p>Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Psychologist to work across the Recovery Units in Cheltenham and Acute Inpatient wards at Wotton Lawn Hospital, Gloucester. This is a full-time post on a fixed term 12-month contract.</p> <p>Honeybourne and Laurel House are Inpatient Rehabilitation Recovery Units in Cheltenham. Wotton Lawn Hospital is in Gloucester and has four acute wards and a psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU). The Assistant Psychologist will become part of the Inpatient Complex Psychological Interventions department working across the Recovery Units and Acute Wards primarily to support the inpatient team to deliver psychological interventions. </p> <p>There is a supportive and enthusiastic psychological team consisting of two clinical psychologists, an art psychotherapist and two clinical associate psychologists (CAPs).The team support regular trainee placements from the Bath Clinical Doctoral Training Course, undergraduate placements and art psychotherapy trainee placements. Regular service development and research is undertaken in collaboration with GHC research department. Publication is actively supported and encouraged within the team.</p> <p>In the wider community, psychologists, psychotherapists and art psychotherapists working within Recovery, Assertive Outreach and Early Intervention Teams form complex psychological interventions (CPI).</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This role provides the opportunity to work with people both in short term, acute contexts and longer-term rehabilitation settings. Across both Inpatient Acute and Recovery services, psychological assessment, formulation and intervention with patients under supervision will form part of the role. A main focus of the role will be delivering group interventions and promoting psychological understanding within the multi-disciplinary team, for example, through Team Formulation meetings.</p> <p>This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health. </p> <p>The ability to get to work independently via driving or public transport.   <p>The Tamarind Centre is seeking a fixed term maternity cover for an 8B Practitioner Psychologist to join its psychology department. This is a strong developmental opportunity, ideal for an experienced 8A looking to progress or an 8B psychologist curious about moving into forensic work.</p> <p>The post sits within our personality focused recovery service, a specialist ward for men with complex histories of violence, trauma, and interpersonal conflict. We are looking for someone with experience delivering therapeutic work to individuals, groups, and across systems. While expertise in MBT, DBT, or forensic psychodynamic psychotherapy is welcomed, it is not essential. An interest in adapting therapies for men at high risk of violence is especially valued.</p> <p>Tamarind is an 89 bed medium secure unit supporting men with enduring mental health needs and histories of violence. Our psychology team values openness, authenticity, and psychological safety. We prioritise cohesion over conformity and invite you to help us grow. Our work lives in the balance between care and containment, acknowledging trauma and structural inequality while avoiding binary thinking. Evidence based practice is essential, but we aim to adapt it compassionately and meaningfully.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Beyond therapy, we are committed to co-production and service user involvement. Recent work includes culturally informed mental health groups, co-designed trauma training, and projects with carers to hold the service accountable. As Principal Psychologist, you will help lead this work, shaping trauma informed care as a cultural shift across the unit and wider Division. Leadership here is seen not as a title but as a shared, evolving process. Support comes from colleagues across disciplines, including community partners.</p>
