  <p>We are inviting applications for a psychological therapist from a core professional background (e.g. CAP's, Psychiatric nurses, Social workers, OT's) to join our Personality Disorder Pathway in the South West of Hertfordshire. The post-holder will be based in Watford and Borehamwood.</p>
<p>Working closely with the local DBT leads, this post offers an exciting opportunity to join an established group of therapists who provide a local DBT service, as well as joining the wider network of therapists, locally and across the trust.</p>
<p>The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to clients with a diagnosis of personality disorder within the service and provide specialist support, guidance and consultation to colleagues, carers and other agencies regarding the psychological care of clients.</p>
<p>There will be many opportunities for close working with local and quadrant-wide psychological therapy teams and other psychological therapy colleagues.</p>

  <p><strong>Band 8a or Band 7-8a Preceptorship Clinical/Counselling Psychologist</strong></p> <p>Are you a clinician passionate about working with service users with psychosis?</p> <p>Do you enjoy working with carers and families?</p> <p>Are you an independent practitioner who can promote psychology in a small team?</p> <p>We are looking for applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologists who are committed to delivering patient-focused care and treatment.</p> <p>We are keen to invest in the development of new practitioners joining our service to enhance their knowledge, skills, clinical practice, leadership and confidence in working in this area. We are therefore looking for applicants who either have experience in Early Intervention Psychosis (EIP) or have a good foundation of transferable skills and an interest to develop in this area.</p> <p>There is a strong sense of camaraderie within the Milton Keynes EIP team, and a strong partnership between operational and clinical staff. There are opportunities to access funded specialist training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for psychosis and family interventions. There may also be an opportunity to spend one clinic session per week in another team/speciality to maintain additional skills.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Milton Keynes Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service is a multi-disciplinary team providing treatment and support for people who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis for the first time, and during the first three years following a first episode of psychosis. The service has a strong focus on providing psychological inventions alongside care-coordination, help, advice and support. The team helps service users make sense of their experiences, provides treatment and interventions to enable them to get back to, or continue to, work or study, whilst liaising with other services and agencies to sort out benefits and finances, and help solve any housing problems.</p> <p>A key part of the role will be acting as liaison and Principal Investigator for research trials (e.g. virtual reality CBT) from different universities.</p> <p>Our staff demonstrate an interest in providing a high level of service for service users and carers as well as an interest in service development. We are looking for motivated and committed clinical or counselling psychologists who are passionate to lead the development of psychological therapies and the therapy pathways within our service.</p> <p>Where the applicant will be newly qualified on appointment they will join a number of other recent recruits in Milton Keynes and undergo a well- established, thorough preceptorship programme ensuring they are equipped with the competencies required of an 8a post holder before they progress.</p>

  <p>A highly motivated and skilled Head Occupational Therapist to lead and coordinate the OT component of patient care within the day unit, providing specialist assessment and evidence based treatment for adults with moderate to severe eating disorders You will be required to design, deliver and evaluate both group and individual programs that address individual occupational needs, enhance occupational performance, participation and recovery. You will champion excellence in OT practice, leading on audit, service evaluation and implementation of best practice to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of OT provision. You will work collaboratively with all members of the MDT, patients &amp; carers contributing to holistic care planning. You will support the Team Leader in the daily management of the unit, including deputising in their absence. You will provide professional leadership, mentorship and supervision to the Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. Part of this role will require you to support future workforce development, acting as practice educator for OT students and promoting learning opportunities across the service. In addition, you will engage in strategic and service development, working closely with Day Unit Leadership and AHP Lead for Specialist Services to represent the OT perspective and contribute to local, divisional and Trust-wide AHP and Community Eating Disorder objectives.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As Senior Social Worker, you will be required to;</p>

<li>Promote, lead and act in accordance with the principles of personalisation, working to promote wellbeing, and enabling individual's rights to choice and control, in a multi disciplinary mental health team.</li>
<li>Expected to give robust, consistent, and expert social care practice advice in partnership with other specialist senior social care colleagues.</li>
<li>Support newly qualified social workers through the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE), acting as an ASYE assessor and engagement in the ASYE moderation process.</li>
<li>Undertake duties as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) or be willing to undertake AMHP training</li>
</ul>
