  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Genetic/Genomic Counsellor to join the NWTRGS Cancer Genetics team in delivering a comprehensive, equitable clinical genomic and counselling service for people with, or at-risk of, inherited cancer.</p> <p>The post holder will have experience in genetic/genomic counselling and will manage an independent caseload of diagnostic, pre-symptomatic and urgent cancer cases. They will have on-call responsibilities which include managing urgent cases and being able to answer appropriate queries.</p> <p>As a member of the Cancer Genetics Team, the post holder will also be involved in providing cancer risk assessment advice and guidance and be responsible for preparing for and attending relevant MDTs. The post holder may also be involved in a specialist cancer clinic depending on the needs of the service. They will maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the scientific, medical, and psychological aspects of Clinical Genetics. The post holder will work alongside other clinicians within the department, as well as other healthcare professionals, including mainstream colleagues. The post holder should already hold or be working toward professional UK registration.</p>

  <p>To provide a qualified specialist child and adolescent psychotherapy service to children and young people with mental health problems across all sectors of care as part of a multi-disciplinary CAMHS team.   <p><strong>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner to join Youth Partnership Service (formally known as Luton Youth Offending Service). This is a multi-agency provision South Bedfordshire. We are looking for a creative, flexible and committed clinician who has an interest in multi-agency working within the Youth Justice System to join the service.</strong></p> <p><strong>The post holder will hold a caseload of young people referred through the Youth Offending Service (YOS), and will work within the principles of the agreed model of care for the service as laid down in the CAMHS/LYOS operational policy. </strong></p>

  <p><strong>The post holder will work as an autonomous and accountable practitioner within an integrated team. This will involve the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care provided and effective liaison with all agencies involved with the service user. </strong></p> <p><strong>This is a community based post, embedded within the Luton Youth Offending Service (LYOS). Predominantly this service will be delivered within the YOS and will include the provision of specialist advice/consultation and CAMHS mental health assessment. The post is closely linked to Bedfordshire and Luton CAMHS. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>This post provides a fantastic opportunity to lead the integrated schools pathway in Luton, forming innovative and forward-looking services that are developing substantially across Bedfordshire and Luton CAMHS. In Luton this includes an established CAMH School Liaison Team, our Wave 2, 5 and 9 Mental Health Support Teams (MHST), and our upcoming Wave 14 Team in January 2026. Mental Health Support Teams are part of an exciting project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community in response to the government's Green Paper for Young People's Mental Health. Bedfordshire &amp; Luton CAMHS have been successful in benefitting from significant investment in this area. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will be the Integrated Lead for the schools pathway teams across the Luton locality as we move towards an integrated schools offer in the coming year, and they will work with team operational leads and with the overall strategic Clinical Lead for CAMH Access Services to offer a comprehensive first step in mental health support, accessible and acceptable for all communities living in Luton, following the Thrive model. The post holder will lead the development of a wide range of targeted interventions, projects and system change with the aim of delivering whole school and community approaches to supporting young people's mental health. We aim to develop an integrated neighbourhood-based core offer to all schools across the locality, and an enhanced offer where there is greater need (such as in communities with greater health inequalities) over the next two years. </p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The role will provide you with an opportunity to hold a small clinical caseload, alongside line management responsibilities of PWPs, and delivering case management and clinical case supervision. In addition to this, the post-holder will be responsible for supporting the senior management team with recruitment of staff and the implementation of wellbeing initiatives to support the retention of practitioners.</p>  <p>The post-holder will be working alongside the management team at EDT to support with their respective strategic areas. </p>  <p>Working as part of EDT offers numerous opportunities for learning and development through strong team support and clinical supervision and being part of an evolving, integrating team.   <ul><li>To be a part of the Bereavement and Talking Therapies team who offer emotional support to patients, carers, children and young people and families who have a life-limiting illness or are bereaved.</li><li>Triage referrals and undertake assessments to appropriate departments with Bereavement and Talking therapy service.</li><li>Trained professional in CBT/DBT/counselling.</li><li>Plan and facilitate sessions for bereaved and pre-bereaved patients.
Deliver staff and patient/family/carers psycho-educational workshops.</li><li>To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to providing a high-quality service.</li></ul><strong>This role will suit someone who</strong><ul><li>Works under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines.</li><li>Can quickly build trusting, empathetic and caring relationships.</li><li>Is flexible and enjoys the variety of work in a fast-moving environment.</li><li>Has good interpersonal skills.</li><li>Has strong organisational skills.</li></ul>  <h3>About us</h3>
  <p>At Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, our unique care provides a lifeline of compassion and support to patients, carers, and families facing progressive life-limiting illness.</p><p>We provide palliative and end of life care support, including bereavement services, within Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire and our patient services are available to adults, as well as patients transitioning into adult services (16 to 25 years). Bereavement support is offered for all ages to families of patients and those around them, as well as throughout the community, in schools and workplaces.</p><p>We are proud to offer care in the place that best suits the individuals needs, whether that is at home, in a care home, in a short stay in our inpatient unit, out in the community, or in our purpose-built Living Well Centre facilities. As a hospice care charity, we have offered this support, free of charge, for over 40 years.
