  <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>The Transforming Care in Autism (TCA) service was developed to meet the needs of autistic individuals at risk of admission to, or within, mainstream mental health services.An exciting new opportunity has arisen for autistic peer support workers to be part of a sensory Quality Improvement (QI) project aimed to support autistic people as part of the Transforming Care in Autism (TCA) team. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, compassionate, positive thinking and self-motivated individual(s) with lived experience of autism. This may include some lived experience of mental health problems and recovery. The primary role is to provide caring and non-judgemental support to autistic individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The role will also involve providing training to staff and carers to impart knowledge and skills to support autistic service users.</p> <p>The successful candidate will have completed an accredited Peer Worker training course or be willing to complete training shortly after starting their role. They will be a member of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside autism-specialists and mental health professionals.</p> <p>Peer Support Workers will be fully supported in their role through regular 1 to 1 supervision within the team line management structure and have access to monthly peer mentoring and weekly online group supervision. </p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

Autism Peer Support Worker

  <p>Psychologists are integral and valued key members of the Mental Health Care of Older People's multidisciplinary teams (MHCOP) in each borough across East London. Within and across the service, in line with National Guidance, the post holder will be responsible and accountable for the provision of high quality, person-centred and culturally sensitive psychological services to older adults presenting to the service, their families and carers. Our goal is to alleviate psychological distress and promote psychological well-being, working alongside our multi-disciplinary team colleagues in the community and liaison into the centralised wards, where required through consultation, teaching and training.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will be an active member of City and Hackney's Mental Health Care of Older Adult's service including the centralised MHCOP inpatient wards and wider East London MHCOP Psychology and Arts therapies professional group.</p> <p>They will work closely with psychologists and other professionals in the team maintaining a standardised approach to the assessment and care of Service Users with complex needs across community and inpatient settings. As part of this, they will contribute to the provision of a specialist psychological perspective for the work of the team, providing highly specialist psychological advice and consultation to other members of the team as well as consultation into the borough's residential and nursing homes.</p> <p>They will be responsible and accountable for the systematic provision of a highly specialist psychology service for people with severe, complex and enduring mental health and dementia related difficulties and their families, presenting to the service and across community and, where appropriate, acute physical health and psychiatric settings.</p> <p>They will develop working partnerships with other members of psychology services locally and across East London boroughs, relevant statutory and voluntary agencies, locality services and providers/commissioners as appropriate</p>   <h3>About us</h3>

  <p>An exciting new part time permanent position has arisen within the Royal London Hospital NICU for an experienced psychotherapist.</p>
<p>The Unit consists of a multidisciplinary team of neonatologists, surgeons, junior doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, health care support workers and other members of the wider hospital team. The psychotherapist plays an integral role in providing psychological support to all NICU &amp; NTS staff, parents and occasionally other members of the families who use our service.</p>
<p>The Royal London neonatal service comprises a Neonatal Intensive Care L3 Tertiary Unit with 45 beds, caring for over 700 babies every year. We receive admissions of sick and premature babies from our maternity Delivery Suite , as well as other hospitals within our network for specialist medical and surgical intensive care. We care for some of the sickest babies with significant morbidity and mortality and the psychotherapist plays an important role in supporting the parents and families of these infants.</p>
<p>The Hospital hosts the Neonatal Transfer Service which has close ties with the NICU and rotation of staff occurs.</p>
<p>The Royal London Hospital serves a diverse community and equally consists of a large multi-disciplinary team with different backgrounds. It is therefore important that the post holder can demonstrate an ability to work with people from all backgrounds. Language and cultural barriers may need to be overcome with creative and empathic communication.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>1. To provide a high quality specialist psychotherapy service to the parents / carers of babies on the NICU and the NICU staff team</p> <p>2. To provide specialist consultation, assessment and treatment for parents / carers of babies on the NICU</p> <p>3. To provide specialist consultation, supervision, debriefing and psychological support to the NICU staff team</p> <p>4. To develop and support the psychotherapeutic skills of the NICU staff via teaching, supervision and reflective spaces, support and consultation.</p> <p>5. To provide a psychotherapeutic perspective / expertise for NICU activities, including clinical care, team or service dynamics, systems, as part of case discussions, team meetings and in other relevant settings</p>
