<p>We have an exciting opportunities for a&nbsp;<strong>Qualified</strong>&nbsp;or <strong>Trainee Single Disciplinary (IMHA) Advocate</strong>&nbsp;to join our established and friendly Advocacy Team.&nbsp;</p><p>We work for <strong>Rethink Advocacy</strong>, which is part of <strong>Rethink Mental Illness</strong> a national charity that has been transforming the lives of people severely affected by mental illness for over 50 years.</p><p>As an <strong>unqualified, inexperienced</strong> independent single discipline advocate, you will be required to enrol on the Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice qualification and complete the course within a set timescale, using protected study time to focus on this. You will shadow experienced team members and then be observed providing advocacy to those who are eligible for our services until you are able to pick up a caseload of your own. Although your focus will be on one particular remit of advocacy, you will receive training across the different remits of advocacy, instructed and non-instructed advocacy and safeguarding and be supported to develop a thorough understanding of the role and boundaries of advocacy. The role involves acting on the instruction of the people you support, empowering them to have a say in their situation, to understand their rights and any options open to them and supporting them towards self-advocacy. When providing non-instructed advocacy, you will ensure that the unique preferences and views of the person are taken into consideration in any decisions made by care providers.</p><p>As a <strong>qualified and / or experienced</strong> independent advocate, you will provide statutory and / or non-statutory independent advocacy to those who are eligible for the service within the community or care settings. This will include secure facilities and hospitals.</p><p>As a field worker, you will be based in the community and will manage your own calendar, planning in client visits effectively as well all administrative tasks.</p><p>You will work across Wandsworth and Richmond and therefore will need to have the ability to travel between multiple client appointment locations across the day, as well as travel to team meetings and training sessions as required.</p><p>Advocacy is having someone by your side, and on your side, when you want to be more involved in decisions about your care, treatment and living arrangements. An advocate can talk through the situation you’re currently in and the options open to you. They can help you decide what you want and then communicate it to people.   <p>The Vincent Square Eating Disorder Service offers specialist services for children and young people who are suffering from eating disorders. The service provides a range of treatments across the existing outpatient service.</p>
<p>We currently have a permanent position for a band 7 Family Therapist to work in the Children and Young People's Eating Disorder Service.</p>
<p>The post holder will work alongside a team of family therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists and other disciplines.</p>
<p>The job will be split between our sites in South Kensington and Chelsea, and Harrow-on-the-Hill.</p>

Clinical/professional judgement will determine priority for treatment and support, but in line with policy implementation guidance. The Integrated Recovery Hub ( IRH) service is the central element of mental health service for adults and their relatives/carers.</p>

To provide CBT assessments of clients referred to the Adult Community Mental Health Teams based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of data from a variety of sources including self-report measures, rating scales, direct and semi-structured interviews.</p> <p>2. To design and implement plans for the formal CBT treatment and/or management of a clients problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the clients problems, and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy.</p> <p>3. To be responsible for implementing a range of individual, family and group interventions based upon evidence of treatment efficacy, and which rely primarily upon CBT models.</p> <p>4. To evaluate and make decisions about CBT treatment options considering both theoretical and therapeutic CBT models and complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual or group.</p> <p>5. To engage in the assessment, treatment and discharge of clients in liaison with the multi-disciplinary team. To provide specialist CBT advice guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to clients formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan.</p> <p>6.
