  <p>Wirral Child &amp; Young Person Mental Health Service CYPMHS (previously CAMHS) is a therapy-based service which offers support to children and young people with mild to severe mental health difficulties and their families and carers. We work in close alignment with the Local Authority, education and the voluntary sector. Our aim is to ensure that children receive the right support, from the right service at the right time.</p> <p>We are a friendly, supportive and committed team, who offer a range of opportunities to staff to develop their skills to improve service provision and most importantly the experience of young people accessing the service</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful applicant will be an experienced clinician who will work closely with CYPMHS leads, eating disorder specialists and members of core CYPMHS (previously CAMHS) to provide assessment and intervention within a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be committed to help to develop and drive the CYPMHS Wirral 0-18 forward</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>HCSWs within this team are lone workers, taking full responsibility for the care of children with complex needs after receiving comprehensive training. This could be caring for a child overnight in their own home, while parents are sleeping, accompanying a child to school and meeting their needs during the school day or working with another HCSW/nurse to give parents a complete break.</p>
<p>Following training and competency assessment, HCSWs will be able to independently care for children with tracheostomies, gastrostomies, require medications, oxygen therapy amongst other medical needs.</p>
<p>Shift times vary dependant on the child's needs and HCSWs are expected to work a mixture of days, nights, and weekend shifts, these can be anytime over the 24 hour period.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>Our Clinical Support Workers for the Community Liver Health Checks programme support the roll out of an exciting new pilot project providing community screening of people in hard-to-reach groups for cirrhosis. This project aims to identify people currently using local alcohol and drug services or other community services and engage them in screening for cirrhosis, offering interventions to help their liver health. This project will aim to provide patients with support to attend screening and provide direct to patient incentives to encourage attendance at screening.</p> <p>The post holder will work closely with the Hepatology Service at MRI and the Infectious Diseases outreach service at community sites, with the community outreach work coordinated strategically by the Greater Manchester Viral Hepatitis Operational Delivery Network (ODN).</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post will be working in the community with a base at Manchester Royal Infirmary and the post holder will work operationally with the Operational Delivery Network for Greater Manchester and Eastern Cheshire.</p>
<p>The role entails blood tests and performing fibroscans (a type of ultrasound for assessing liver health - full training will be given), delivery of results and engaging patients found to be cirrhotic in preventative health care to encourage them to attend for further hospital screening and offering them health promotion advice. The role holder will work closely with our partners in drug services, probation services, homeless services, and primary care. This will include programmes with existing peer support schemes available within those organisations and the voluntary sector.</p>
