We’re here for men who have recently been through a mental health crisis—whether they’ve just left hospital or are finding it difficult to stay safe where they currently live. Our house offers a calm, safe environment where residents can take time to stabilise and focus on their wellbeing. We provide therapeutic support to help each person feel ready and confident to return home. Stays are usually up to 10 days, although men who are of no fixed abode (NFA) may stay a little longer if needed.</p><ul>	<li>We’re a non-CQC registered service.</li>	<li>Our team is here day and night, 24/7, every day of the year.</li>	<li>The service is run by Rethink Mental Illness, working closely with AWP, who handle all referrals through their Crisis Teams.</li></ul><p><strong>How you will make a difference:</strong></p><p><strong>Staffing, Leadership &amp; Oversight</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure that staff have the correct guidance and support to fulfil their roles and will ensure that a monthly 24/7 rota ensures enough staffing capacity to deliver effective support.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality of Support &amp; Environment</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure that a high standard of support is embedded within the service and will promote and support an inclusive environment.</li>	<li>I will ensure that high quality support planning, risk management, outcomes measurements are in place for all residents in the service at all times.</li></ul><p><strong>Referrals &amp; Risk Management</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will review all referrals into the service and ensure these are appropriate for the service remit and that risks are manageable during the residents stay. I will ensure that all referral documentation is received.</li></ul><p><strong>Partnership &amp; Multi-Agency Working</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will work closely with AWP Crisis Teams and ensure highly effective working relationships are in place at a management and front line level to ensure the crisis house provides the right standard of support to residents using a multi-agency approach.</li></ul><p><strong>Activities &amp; Resident Engagement</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure activities offered to residents in the house and externally are varied and meet residents needs and demand and are within agreed budgets.</li></ul><p><strong>Incident Management &amp; Learning</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will manage and review all incidents and severe untoward incidents that occur at the crisis house ensuring that learning is adopted and shared as needed with AWP and the commissioners. For the role, you must have a Diploma/Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological interventions in order to provide high volume, low intensity CBT interventions for people with common mental health problems. Assessments and interventions may be delivered face to face, via the telephone or in groups. Senior Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are pleased to be recruiting a part-time 0.6 wte band 7 Specialist Psychologist/Psychological Therapist/Psychotherapist - trauma, providing CBT and trauma-focussed CBT to our adult service users in secondary care the majority of whom present with PTSD or complex PTSD. Other presentations include moderate-severe anxiety, depression and personality disorder presentations. With the Home Office in Croydon, the service often works with refugees and asylum seekers. The successful candidates will work alongside other members of a large, supportive and cohesive multi-orientation, psychological therapies team and closely with other professional colleagues in secondary care adult services. <strong>We are happy to receive applications from clinical/counselling psychologists who have completed training in 2025 but have yet to apply for HPC registration due to an outstanding viva.</strong></p>
<p>Development opportunities: The Trust provides access to a wide range of CPD opportunities and all staff are encouraged to undertake development opportunities and activities relevant to their post. As a multi-modality team there are opportunities for learning and development alongside other modalities.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful applicant will work alongside other Clinical/Counselling Psychologists delivering specialist interventions primarily using CBT. A significant proportion of the team's referrals are for complex PTSD (including refugees and asylum seekers) as well as complex trauma presentations. In addition to assessing and treatment, all team members offer consultation and undertake integrated link-in work to support the work of colleagues in the CMHTs, which each staff member supporting a specific team.</p>

It is within walking distance to East Croydon overland station with quick links to London. There are good bus, rail and tram links. There is no free parking at Jeanette Wallace House, but there are various paid parking sites close by.</p>

  <p><strong>Are you an autonomous registered Mental Health Nurse looking for a new role in West Oxfordshire?</strong></p> <p><strong>Do you have experience of working in mental health services and understand the challenges that the Adult care group can bring?</strong></p> <p>North and West AMHT have an opportunity for a Band 6 RMN to become part of a well established Multi disciplinary Team on a full time basis.</p> <p>The service has a new leadership team structure, with new team leaders in place leading to an improved culture and team. The role presents a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop and broaden their leadership skills - mentoring, supervising, and developing the careers and skills of others, as well as yourself.</p> <p>The MDT consists of medics, psychological therapists, social workers, OTs, RMNs and support workers, as well as embedded workers from the third sector to support with employment, housing and social needs. The team is highly supportive and committed to delivering high quality patient care; where the caseload can be demanding, diverse and frequently complex.</p> <p>We care deeply about our patients and their loved ones and believe in listening and responding as a team; piloting new models, supporting each other and developing and using new care approaches. We aim to improve patient care as well as provide increase staff satisfaction and sense of achievement.</p> <p>You <em><strong>will </strong></em>need to be able to travel around the county, to offer interventions to patients and carers, so access to transport is essential.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>
<li>Working within the treatment function of the AMHT you will co-ordinate the care for patients with severe and enduring mental health diagnosis.</li>
<li>You will work autonomously, with a caseload of patients with whom you will engage and offer the recommended treatment and support.</li>
<li>You will have experience of providing community mental health care and able to assess and plan treatment with service users.</li>
<li>You will also be able to assess and manage risk, including use of Safeguarding processes.</li>
</ul>
<p>There are opportunities for team working and facilitating groups such as MBT/CBT based interventions.</p>
<p>Our AMHT provide an assessment and treatment function and the staff working within the team work on a rota covering shifts from 07.00 to 21.00 (7 days/week). The successful candidate will be required to work mainly 9-5 Monday to Friday however there is an expectation that there is flexibility to cover the out of hours shifts when required.</p>
