<p>We have an exciting opportunities for a&nbsp;<strong>Qualified</strong>&nbsp;or <strong>Trainee Single Disciplinary (IMHA) Advocate</strong>&nbsp;to join our established and friendly Advocacy Team.&nbsp;</p><p>We work for <strong>Rethink Advocacy</strong>, which is part of <strong>Rethink Mental Illness</strong> a national charity that has been transforming the lives of people severely affected by mental illness for over 50 years.</p><p>As an <strong>unqualified, inexperienced</strong> independent single discipline advocate, you will be required to enrol on the Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice qualification and complete the course within a set timescale, using protected study time to focus on this. You will shadow experienced team members and then be observed providing advocacy to those who are eligible for our services until you are able to pick up a caseload of your own. Although your focus will be on one particular remit of advocacy, you will receive training across the different remits of advocacy, instructed and non-instructed advocacy and safeguarding and be supported to develop a thorough understanding of the role and boundaries of advocacy. The role involves acting on the instruction of the people you support, empowering them to have a say in their situation, to understand their rights and any options open to them and supporting them towards self-advocacy. When providing non-instructed advocacy, you will ensure that the unique preferences and views of the person are taken into consideration in any decisions made by care providers.</p><p>As a <strong>qualified and / or experienced</strong> independent advocate, you will provide statutory and / or non-statutory independent advocacy to those who are eligible for the service within the community or care settings. This will include secure facilities and hospitals.</p><p>As a field worker, you will be based in the community and will manage your own calendar, planning in client visits effectively as well all administrative tasks.</p><p>You will work across Wandsworth and Richmond and therefore will need to have the ability to travel between multiple client appointment locations across the day, as well as travel to team meetings and training sessions as required.</p><p>Advocacy is having someone by your side, and on your side, when you want to be more involved in decisions about your care, treatment and living arrangements. An advocate can talk through the situation you’re currently in and the options open to you. They can help you decide what you want and then communicate it to people. Living Well Peer Support Worker

<p><strong>We are currently hiring a Stepdown Recovery Officer&nbsp;to join our inspiring and friendly Brent Stepdown Service.</strong></p><p><strong>This is a Fixed Term Contract Role ending 30th September 2025, working 35 hours per week.&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Stepdown recovery officer will identify early identification of factors that would potentially delay timely discharge and impact on provision of appropriate aftercare. They will liaise with housing and local authorities around discharge and facilitation of housing assessments.   <p>The Durham &amp; Darlington NHS Talking Therapy Service is a joint venture involving TEWV, Mental Health Matters and Sunderland Counselling Service.</p> <p>The teams consist of High Intensity Therapists, PWPs and Counsellors as well as our Employment Team and the opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and dedicated High Intensity Worker to join our team to cover maternity leave on a 6 months fixed term contract</p> <p>Are you a qualified High Intensity Therapist (CBT) who wants to be valued and welcomed into a supportive, dynamic and expanding team? Are you passionate about delivering high intensity interventions in line with the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies initiative?</p> <p><strong>You will be an accred</strong><strong>ited CBT therapist and have completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, or recently qualified and be working towards accreditation in order to apply. Anyone without this qualification will not be considered for interview.</strong></p> <p>Our High Intensity Workers benefit from hybrid working, providing face-to-face sessions with patients whilst in base and remote sessions when working from home. Applicants should be committed to offering face-to-face work in Durham and Darlington area</p>     <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a High Intensity Therapist you will be working with clients who have a range of anxiety and depression related problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. You will hold a caseload for individual work (face-to-face and remotely delivered), amongst other duties. We welcome applicants who have experience of managing a caseload and who have experience of working within a NHS Talking Therapy Service.</p>
<p>You will be expected to be flexible and provide out of hours clinics as required by service need and demonstrate a willingness to travel. Durham and Darlington NHS Talking Therapy Service currently operates Monday- Friday covering some early morning/early evening working through 1:1 clinics which all staff are expected to offer.</p>
