<p>We have an exciting opportunities for a&nbsp;<strong>Qualified</strong>&nbsp;or <strong>Trainee Single Disciplinary (IMHA) Advocate</strong>&nbsp;to join our established and friendly Advocacy Team.&nbsp;</p><p>We work for <strong>Rethink Advocacy</strong>, which is part of <strong>Rethink Mental Illness</strong> a national charity that has been transforming the lives of people severely affected by mental illness for over 50 years.</p><p>As an <strong>unqualified, inexperienced</strong> independent single discipline advocate, you will be required to enrol on the Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice qualification and complete the course within a set timescale, using protected study time to focus on this. You will shadow experienced team members and then be observed providing advocacy to those who are eligible for our services until you are able to pick up a caseload of your own. Although your focus will be on one particular remit of advocacy, you will receive training across the different remits of advocacy, instructed and non-instructed advocacy and safeguarding and be supported to develop a thorough understanding of the role and boundaries of advocacy. The role involves acting on the instruction of the people you support, empowering them to have a say in their situation, to understand their rights and any options open to them and supporting them towards self-advocacy. When providing non-instructed advocacy, you will ensure that the unique preferences and views of the person are taken into consideration in any decisions made by care providers.</p><p>As a <strong>qualified and / or experienced</strong> independent advocate, you will provide statutory and / or non-statutory independent advocacy to those who are eligible for the service within the community or care settings. This will include secure facilities and hospitals.</p><p>As a field worker, you will be based in the community and will manage your own calendar, planning in client visits effectively as well all administrative tasks.</p><p>You will work across Wandsworth and Richmond and therefore will need to have the ability to travel between multiple client appointment locations across the day, as well as travel to team meetings and training sessions as required.</p><p>Advocacy is having someone by your side, and on your side, when you want to be more involved in decisions about your care, treatment and living arrangements. An advocate can talk through the situation you’re currently in and the options open to you. They can help you decide what you want and then communicate it to people. Trainee/Qualified Single Disciplinary Advocate IMHA

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are looking for a new Reflective Practice Lead to join the Staff Support team at South London &amp; Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. This post offers the opportunity to develop, co-ordinate and ensure the systematic provision of reflective practice to all staff using the Trust's RSR (Reflect, Support, Resolve) Model. The post holder will lead on the reflective practice workstream, with some input into our other Staff Support projects (including Schwartz Rounds, Critical Incident Staff Support and Team Support Plans). We are seeking a candidate who can effectively engage stakeholders and lead projects at an organisation-wide level.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate must have exceptional organisational skills and demonstrable ability to run multiple projects simultaneously and at scale, delivering both on target and on time. They must be skilled in designing and delivering training, providing consultation and reflective practice. The candidatemust be hard working and able to take initiative whilst holding strong 'team-player' values. Experience working in staff support, awareness of the impact of trauma on healthcare staff, narrative or systemic therapy training and project management experience are highly desirable.   <h3>About us</h3>
  <p>Corporate Psychology and Psychotherapy (Corp P&amp;P) oversees the standards of psychology and psychotherapy inSLaM. It has strong links to other disciplines and services. The governance of the provision, assessment and delivery of psychological interventions within the trust for both patients and staff are held under Corporate Psychology and Psychotherapy. As a department we are made up of skilled staff members from Psychology and Nursing backgrounds with lots of different expertise.</p>
<p>Within Corp P&amp;P we have a programme of projects which are working to address both local and national priorities through workforce, quality improvement and service development projects. Using a project management approach the work loosely falls under three workstreams, Staff Support, Psychological Workforce and Enabling Service Improvement. The service contributes to tackling inequalities in health through promoting and supporting people to develop healthier behaviours and lifestyles in the context of their own local communities.</p><p>As well as supporting the community with improving their physical and emotional heath, we also prioritise our staff wellbeing.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will join our team in Luton, working in and around the district, where we specialize in evidence-based psychological therapies. Alongside vast experience of working within Mental Health, you will also have experience of leading and managing teams with a proven ability to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients and working relationships with your colleagues.</p><p>You will also manage your own caseload and inspire your team to meet both service and individual targets, having an IAPT Supervision Course under your belt would be helpful too, but not essential.</p><p>In addition to talking therapies, we offer healthy lifestyle programmes including NHS stop smoking, health checks, and exercise on referral, social prescription, weight management and support with physical activity for people with long term health conditions.</p>

<p>As part of working together you will actively liaise with and support robust partnership working arrangements between the CAMHS team and community partners and other key stakeholders involved with the child across agencies that work within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health THRIVE framework.</p>
<p>This is a clinical post and the expectation of time management is the majority of time will be spent in actual practice.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To assume responsibility for management of a complex caseload and exercise the highest standards of autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of children, young people and their families/carers using specialist knowledge and evaluation of care programmes in collaboration with children, young people and their families/carers liaising with and referring to relevant agencies as appropriate.</p>
