  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Involves establishing good working relationships with the specialist teams in the hospital and working with the teams to identify what the Senior Psychological Therapist can offer. Any day might involve liaising with the various specialist teams to see what psychological support is needed for the patient pathway. Also involves liaising with external services to ensure a smooth pathway for the patient whose needs are complex. Involves offering staff training, supervision and support to increase their capacity to understand the psychological impact and pressures of trauma on the individual (patient or staff member). Supporting individual members of staff to increase their awareness of psychological approaches or mental health approaches. It may involve supervising trainees from the University of Surrey who send trainees to us for their Specialist third year placements. It can involve joining various departments who offer training for the broader hospital setting on the psychological impact of various health issues. It can involve looking at opportunities for research within the departments (Sleep, Burns, Speech and Language), or if you have an interest yourself you would be supported to explore a personal development in that area.</p>

  <p>We would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate your commitment to providing high quality care in Counselling for depression at Step 3 within Mind Matters Surrey, NHS Talking Therapies Service. You will be delivering counselling for depression at Step 3 following a stepped care model in line with the national Talking Therapies programme and latest NICE guidance for psychological interventions. The role involves delivering one to one Counselling, Assessments and therapeutic groups.</p>
<p>You must have completed or nearly completed the training in the Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CFD) IAPT with experience of working within a Talking Therapies service.</p>
<p>Applicants who have already successfully completed the PCE-CfD training will start at a band 7.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To provide a comprehensive assessment and therapeutic service for adult patients with common mental health problems referred to the IAPT SABP service based on sound, evidence based psychological principles, and working within the context of primary care services.</p>
<p>You will be able to assess clients for suitability for Counselling and other modalities, and provide specialist psychological treatment based upon clearly accepted, evidence-based principles (N.I.C.E. guidelines for Depression). To treat common mental health problems, including mood and adjustment disorders and other problems not of a severity requiring multidisciplinary specialist mental health services.</p>
<p>Be able to make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary. To make an assessment of risk for patient and others and take appropriate action when necessary.</p>

  <p>Are you a CAMHS clinician wanting to train as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist within a supportive team? This is an exciting opportunity to learn how to deliver much-needed evidence-based therapies for OCD, anxiety, depression and PTSD. The role may be based in West Sussex, East Sussex or Brighton.   <p>You will need a demonstrable background in working within CAMHS or related services with young people with mental health difficulties and a good understanding of the basics of CBT formulation and treatment.</p> <p>You will also need a core profession qualification as specified by the BABCP or a demonstrable equivalent of this level of training, as evidenced through their ability to meet the requirements set out in BABCP's Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (KSA) portfolio. </p> <p>EMHPs and CWPs are eligible for condensed KSA portfolios. Please note that there needs to be a two-year gap between receiving exam ratification results from any HEE funded course (eg CWP or EMHP) and the start date of a new HEE funded training. </p> <p>We require those without core professional qualifications to submit their completed KSA Criterion 4 at the time of interview, and their full KSA prior to course commencement. SFEDS works with young people aged 10-18 with an eating disorder and their families across Sussex, and supports recovery through evidenced based interventions such as the Maudsley Family Therapy models and E-CBT.
