The teams also have a strong focus on whole school approaches to improve mental health outcomes for children and young people.</p>  <p>The Mid Essex MHST covers a large geographical area incorporating the districts of Braintree, Chelmsford, and Maldon.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner with a UK Professional Registration to join our MHST.</p> <p>In this post, you will be a senior clinical team member, holding a clinical caseload and supervising junior staff and trainee EMHPs. You will work alongside partner agencies to develop and co-produce training materials and support the delivery of whole school approach models for mental health. </p>  <ul>  <li> <p>Work in partnership with schools CYP, and families in the development of plans for the intervention and agreed outcomes.</p> </li>  <li> <p>Support the Locality Clinical Lead with the formulation and treatment and management plans for schools, parents, CYP using a range of specialist psychological interventions appropriate to the service, individual and group.</p> </li> </ul>   <ul>  <li> <p>Effectively manage a caseload of CYP with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, complete thorough assessments, risk assessments, care plans and reviews.</p> </li> </ul>   <ul>  <li> <p>Provide caseload management and supervision to Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners, Education Mental Health Practitioner's and Senior Mental Health Practitioner's.</p> </li> </ul>   <ul>  <li> <p>Support in the delivery of evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).</p> </li> </ul>   <ul>  <li> <p>To work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team within your locality but also with other MHSTs within Essex.</p> </li> </ul>   <ul>  <li> <p>To be able to work as part of a team and autonomously.</p> </li> </ul>   <h3>About us</h3>

MHST Senior Clinician and Supervisor - Mid Essex

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>Candidates will have experience of working in mental health settings and will have eithera registered graduate qualification in nursing, social work or occupational therapy or evidence of using the career framework of training in mental health and experience of working in a stepped care service for anxiety and depression as a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.</p>
<p>All positions will be offered at pay band 6 on a 12-month fixed term contract basis. The post-holder will work in the service for 3 days of the week whilst attending the training programme for the other two days.</p>
<p>This is a training role within the Enfield NHS Talking Therapies service (formerly known as IAPT). The post-holder will work within the Talking Therapies service providing high intensity interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role. This intensive training post will equip the post-holder to provide cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for clients with a range of complex problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. The post- holder will work in the service for 3 days of the week using the newly developed skills whilst attending the training programme for the other two days with Royal Holloway, University of London.</p>
<p>This post will report to and be supported by the Enfield NHS Talking Therapies Clinical Team Leads.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>
<li>Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service</li>
<li>Assess clients for suitability for CBT. Where the problems appear to be too complex or severe to be appropriate for a trainee therapists to refer to manager/supervisor for advice on how to manage the case.</li>
<li>Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.</li>
<li>Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for clients.</li>
<li>Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying CBT formulations with sensitivity in easily understood language.</li>
<li>Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the number of client contacts offered, and clinical sessions carried out per week in order to minimise waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient.</li>
<li>Attend and fulfil all the requirements of the training element of the post.</li>
<li>Apply learning form the training programme in practice</li>
<li>Receive supervision from educational providers in relation to course work to meet the required standards.</li>
<li>Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating, professional and accrediting bodies (eg BPS, UKCP, BABCP), and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set by the department of health (e.g NHS plan, National Service Framework, National Institute for Clinical Excellence).</li>
