<p><strong>Rethink Mental Illness are hiring a Housing Management Officer to join our&nbsp;inspiring and friendly team at Topping Mill, Bury.</strong></p><p><strong>Imagine being part of an organisation whose common purpose is to help those who are severely impacted by mental illness. Our supported living accommodation provides person-centred support, based on their recovery journey. This will enable users to move onto housing within the community. Topping Mill consists of 14 self-contained flats, along with a shared lounge on both the ground and first floor.</p><p><strong>JOIN THE TEAM!</strong></p><p><strong>Overview of a Housing Management Officer role:</strong></p><p>As a Housing Officer, you will work under the leadership and guidance of the Registered Service Manager (RSM) to deliver a responsive and customer orientated housing management service. This involves working with tenants who experience Mental Health challenges, living in accommodation supported by Rethink mental illness staff.</p><p><strong>Essential Skills and Experience Required:</strong></p><ul>	<li>Must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity</li>	<li>Recognised Housing related qualification or equivalent relevant experience</li>	<li>Experience in a comparable role, preferably in housing, social services, residential care or supported housing.</li>	<li>Experience and knowledge of enhanced housing benefit, housing management, related legislation, letting procedures and Local Authority guidelines</li>	<li>Ability to identify support goals and evaluate progress.</li>	<li>Knowledge of risk assessments and ability to identify potential risks and how to manage risks.</li>	<li>Understanding of housing management, law and best practice</li>	<li>Ability to motivate people and achieve positive outcomes</li>	<li>Ability to communicate&nbsp; effectively at different levels</li>	<li>Knowledge of housing needs / barriers faced by people who experience mental ill health.&nbsp;</li>	<li>Excellent communication and&nbsp; literacy skills, able to produce clear, concise reports, correspondence and notes</li>	<li>Competent in the use of IT systems including Microsoft applications, email and internet.</li></ul><p><strong>Who are we?&nbsp;</strong></p><p>We’re Rethink Mental Illness, a leading charity provider of mental health services in England.   <p>We Are Survivors are currently looking for individuals that have
the passion, drive and determination to help us deliver our OUT Spoken Talking
Therapy Services in our Merseyside, Lancashire and Cheshire estate.</p><p>We
Are Survivors provide survivor-focused therapeutic and advocacy support to male
(including Trans and Non-binary) victims/survivors, and their loved ones, of
sexual harms. We have developed a three-tiered approach to services and
underpin everything we do with a trauma and recovery framework pioneered by

are currently commissioned to deliver trauma-informed therapy services in 15
prisons across the Northwest of England and we require postings in our prisons
across Merseyside, Lancaster and Cheshire. Please note we have no vacancies in

<p>As we prepare to open this unit, we have a new and exciting opportunity for a LD Peer Support Worker to join us and support the Multi-Disciplinary Team to deliver outstanding person-centred care.</p>
<p>This role will play a vital part in ensuring that the voices of people who use our service are embedded in everything we do. </p>
<p>One of the Trust's aims is to deliver the best possible care to our patients, and this new inpatient unit will do just that. Water Meadow View will offer clinical excellence, support, and safety, with patient-centred care at its heart.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a Peer Support Worker, you will use your personal lived experience of having a learning disability to support and empower others facing similar experiences.</p>
<p>Working within Water Meadow View, you will provide emotional and practical support, helping individuals build confidence, develop independence, and engage in recovery in a meaningful way. You will also use your lived experience to ensure that the service user's voice is heard and is at the centre.</p>
<p>The key responsibilities of this role are:</p>
<ul>
<li>To work directly with service users on a 1:1 and in group settings as agreed with the Ward Manager.</li>
<li>To encourage and support service users to engage in meaningful occupations throughout the day.</li>
<li>Work alongside service users and occupational therapy professionals to plan, deliver and evaluate occupational therapy groups through meaningful co-production.</li>
<li>To engage with service users throughout their recovery journey to support admission, therapy, treatment, care and discharge.</li>
<li>Support professionals to deliver training to external providers to support successful discharges</li>

  <p>HCSWs within this team are lone workers, taking full responsibility for the care of children with complex needs after receiving comprehensive training. This could be caring for a child overnight in their own home, while parents are sleeping, accompanying a child to school and meeting their needs during the school day or working with another HCSW/nurse to give parents a complete break.</p>
<p>Following training and competency assessment, HCSWs will be able to independently care for children with tracheostomies, gastrostomies, require medications, oxygen therapy amongst other medical needs.</p>
<p>Shift times vary dependant on the child's needs and HCSWs are expected to work a mixture of days, nights, and weekend shifts, these can be anytime over the 24 hour period.</p>
