You will work alongside our pharmacists to support patients on the wards and those under community teams. Our state-of-art older adult units, along with Psychiatric intensive care and learning disabilities gives a variety to the role. We champion staff clinical knowledge through in-house training and attending professional courses. The Trust is committed to improving patient care by introducing "hospital at home" wards to support patients in a more familiar environment. <li>Co-ordinating and planning an accurate and efficient pharmacy service for in-patients and community teams within a technicians remit.</li>

<li>Ensuring correct storage and handling of pharmaceuticals in accordance with relevant SOPs/ Standards.</li>
<li>Supervising pharmacy technicians, student technicians and other support staff working within pharmacy specialist area(s).</li>
<li>Supports in the development and delivery of procedures</li>
<li>Supporting KPI targets within area of work.</li>

<p><strong>This role is based on a 5-day (Mon-Fri) working week, with noexpectation to take part in an evenings, weekend, or bank holidays rota.</strong><strong> Dispensing services are outsourced to a 3rd party.   <p>The successful candidate will be part of a team committed to MDT working with people with learning disabilities. You will hold an individual caseload for delivering 1:1 interventions within the Wolverhampton locality, working systemically in line with families and carers where appropriate. With support from psychology and MDT colleagues you will lead on developing, delivering and evaluating a Division wide group programme to ensure citizens with a learning disability have appropriate access to evidence based psychological therapy. You will be skilled in both individual and group work adapted to match the different intellectual &amp; emotional abilities within the client group. </p>  <p>The team provides a full range of assessments, interventions, support, training and advice to individuals themselves, their families and paid carers and the network of multi-agency stakeholders who are involved in the care and support of people experiencing complex behavioural and/or emotional distress. A core member of the Wolves CLDT, you will bring experience combining the best of evidence based clinical assessment &amp; formulation with client centred therapeutic interventions.   <p><strong>Band 6 Specialist Psychological Practitioner (2-year fixed term position) at Ardenleigh Women's Secure Blended Service - includes working at our step-down accommodation based at Balsall Heath</strong></p> <p>An exciting job opportunity has arisen to recruit a Specialist Psychological Practitioner to join our established psychology team to support the delivery of a 2-year pilot, community step-down accommodation for women being discharged from secure care. This pilot aims to extend the inpatient treatment model into a community residential setting to promote recovery beyond discharge, supporting timelier discharges and reducing the need for future admission. The role will provide opportunities for both inpatient and community work, and to be involved in service innovation.</p> <p>Clinically the role will involve working with women presenting with complex trauma, personality disorder and mental illness, both directly through the provision of specialist psychological interventions and indirectly through supervision, reflective practice, consultation and training. In relation to the pilot step-down accommodation, you would contribute significantly to the development of the psychological pathway and evaluation of this. Working across both the rehabilitation ward and the step-down accommodation, the post holder will have the opportunity to develop strong therapeutic relationships with services users, providing relational security as they take the next step in their recovery journey.</p>

  <p>In partnership with Derby University, a successful candidate will be offered a full-time educational programme, funded at NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) Band 4 level, gaining credits towards a Post-Graduate Diploma qualification, plus employment on successful completion of training, with a starting salary projected to be on the NHS Band 5 scale.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an 8b Principal Practitioner Psychologist, to provide leadership and specialist clinical input to the Secure CAMHS service. This post offers the opportunity to continue to develop the psychological provision offered to the young people in our care. The Secure CAMHS (SCAMHS) service sits within the Ardenleigh site and offers treatment for up to 11 young people. It has received accreditations from QNIC and the National Autistic Society and a quality review in June 2024 highlighted strengths in a positive team culture, great relationships between young people and staff and comprehensive therapeutic provision.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will be joining a large and diverse psychological therapies team within the division, consisting of clinical and forensic psychologists, arts therapists, specialist psychological practitioners and assistant psychologists. Both services have a strong multi-disciplinary team ethos, in which psychology is well established and respected. The services are committed to providing the best care for women and young people, and as such service user involvement and co-production are central to what we do. As a psychology team we also contribute significantly to the staff well-being strategy.</p>
<p>We are committed to supporting our staff to have a positive experience of their time at work. We acknowledge that working across the Ardenleigh site can be challenging, so you will have access to a range of wellbeing support. As a division we are also committed to investing in staff and you will have opportunities for training, mentoring, supervision and career development.</p>
<p>It is essential that the successful candidate is a minimum of 5 days intensively DBT trained for them to take on the team leader role and preferably have additional training in this model. Leadership and service development experience is desirable, as well as managing and supervising a range of psychological professionals.   <p>The Birmingham &amp; Solihull Health and Justice Vulnerability Service (HJVS) is a nationally recognised and multi-award winning team, established sites leading to a widespread radical change in service delivery across England.</p>
<p>Working primarily within adult outreach team, this role will mean working within the community as well as from Custody Suites around Birmingham, Birmingham Magistrates and Crown Courts and a variety of trust sites.</p>
