  <p>JOB PURPOSE</p>
<p>To provide a dedicated, comprehensive service to people experiencing homelessness, being at risk of homelessness and having substance related problems, or being at risk of relapse back into substance use and have a history of, or are at risk of disengaging from services. To also work closely with and provide advice and guidance to colleagues within the housing options team to integrate substance use intervention into care plans, increasing engagement and ongoing support, where appropriate.</p>

  <p>The Tamarind Centre is seeking a fixed term maternity cover for an 8B Practitioner Psychologist to join its psychology department. This is a strong developmental opportunity, ideal for an experienced 8A looking to progress or an 8B psychologist curious about moving into forensic work.</p> <p>The post sits within our personality focused recovery service, a specialist ward for men with complex histories of violence, trauma, and interpersonal conflict. We are looking for someone with experience delivering therapeutic work to individuals, groups, and across systems. While expertise in MBT, DBT, or forensic psychodynamic psychotherapy is welcomed, it is not essential. An interest in adapting therapies for men at high risk of violence is especially valued.</p> <p>Tamarind is an 89 bed medium secure unit supporting men with enduring mental health needs and histories of violence. Our psychology team values openness, authenticity, and psychological safety. We prioritise cohesion over conformity and invite you to help us grow. Our work lives in the balance between care and containment, acknowledging trauma and structural inequality while avoiding binary thinking. Evidence based practice is essential, but we aim to adapt it compassionately and meaningfully.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Beyond therapy, we are committed to co-production and service user involvement. Recent work includes culturally informed mental health groups, co-designed trauma training, and projects with carers to hold the service accountable. As Principal Psychologist, you will help lead this work, shaping trauma informed care as a cultural shift across the unit and wider Division. Leadership here is seen not as a title but as a shared, evolving process. Support comes from colleagues across disciplines, including community partners.</p>

This specialist provision delivers intensive, evidence-based care to children &amp; young people experiencing moderate to severe eating disorders.   <p>The CYP Eating Disorders Day Hospital Service is currently mobilising. This specialist provision delivers intensive, evidence-based care to children &amp; young people experiencing moderate to severe eating disorders. This innovative service aims to bridge the gap between inpatient and community care, offering a safe and structured alternative to Tier 4 admission &amp; facilitating earlier discharge from hospital settings.</p>
<p>Operating through a MDT working collaboratively to provide holistic, person-centred care, each professional brings their expertise to support physical health monitoring, nutritional rehabilitation, psychosocial interventions &amp; occupational engagement, all tailored to the unique needs of each young person &amp; their family.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>In-reach and Outreach support</strong> to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions &amp; reduce relapse.</li>
<li><strong>Intensive day hospital interventions</strong> focused on recovery, risk management, &amp; re-engagement with daily life.</li>
<li><strong>Meal support and psychoeducation</strong> for young people &amp; their families, promoting sustainable recovery at home.</li>
<li><strong>Multidisciplinary care planning and supervision</strong>, ensuring continuity &amp; quality of care across settings.</li>
<li><strong>Training and consultation</strong> to professionals and carers, enhancing system-wide understanding and support for eating disorders.</li>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>  <li>To provide specialist dietetic service to children and young people with eating disorders (ED), alongside provision to outpatients as required</li>  <li>To undertake comprehensive assessments of each young persons diet and lifestyle to formulate individualised management and treatment plans ensuring optimal outcome whilst minimising risk.</li>  <li>To provide specialist advice to patients with eating disorders deemed to be a high physical risk</li>  <li>To be aware of and able to identify patients at high psychiatric risk (e.g. of suicide) and liaise with the MDT regarding the management of risk in these patients.</li>  <li>To act as a resource to junior members or non-registers support staff with placements/working within the EDDH</li>  <li>To write, implement and monitor guidelines for management of patients with eating disorders receiving outpatient care</li>  <li>To provide input for the training of student Dietitians.</li>  <li>To work autonomously to organise, provide and manage all CYP patients diagnosed with an eating disorder receiving multi-disciplinary team care while under the care of the CYP Eating Disorders Day Hospital</li> </ul>

The secure services consist of an LD male medium secure and a male and female low secure service and an autism only male low secure service.</p> <p>The secure service ethos is to help and support people who present considerable risk to others (as well as themselves) to return to a less restrictive environment and/or the community as soon as possible. The contribution of psychological services is highly valued within the teams and service management, and it is fully integrated within collaborative multi-disciplinary teams.</p> <p>The successful candidate will have post qualification experience of working with forensic populations and/or considerable experience of working with people with Intellectual (learning) disabilities who present considerable risk to others.</p>

  <p>The key elements of the role include delivering psychological assessments, developing case/team formulation, running individual and group therapies. The post holder will offer reflective practice, supervision and training (qualified psychologists and non-psychologists), and have opportunities to conduct audit/research.   <p>We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Occupational Therapist to work within our Intensive Life Skills Pathway based in clinic or community venues within South Staffordshire (Lichfield, Tamworth, Burton, Uttoxeter, Cannock, Stafford and Seisdon).</p> <p>The Intensive Life Skills (ILS) Pathway is a multi-disciplinary Mental Health Team providing assessment and intervention for adults 17+ experiencing complex emotional difficulties as part of the Adult Mental Health Service.</p> <p>You will support the service as a highly skilled <strong>HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist </strong>working with a highly psychologically minded, enthusiastic, dedicated and supportive team to about support service-users who present with high levels of emotional distress and often have histories of complex trauma, neurodiversity and/or adverse experiences.</p> <p>The pathway uses therapeutic models including Structured Clinical Management (SCM), attachment theory, behavioural theory, Compassion-Focussed Therapy, EMDR, Trauma-Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mentalisation-Based Treatment. The successful candidate will be offered to attend the (DBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Essential skills training, to use the knowledge and skills learnt in combining individual and workshop-based interventions.</p> <p>You will need to travel independently over a large geographical area and will require suitable transport.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a Mental Health Community Occupational Therapist, you will be expected to undertake holistic comprehensive assessments and formulation of complex clinical presentations, including risk assessments and risk management.</p> <p>The role will involve:</p> <ul>  <li>Delivering group based and individual interventions in line with the pathway model and utilising Structured Clinical Management (SCM).
