  <p><strong>Are you a compassionate and experienced counsellor looking to make a significant impact?</strong></p><p><strong>Do you excel in providing non-judgmental, client-centered support through telephone counselling?</strong></p><p>BPAS are looking for a Telephone Counsellor to join the Counselling Services team. Reporting into the Counselling Services Manager, you will provide a high-quality telephone counselling service to clients considering or choosing an abortion, as well as those seeking post-abortion support.</p><p>You will offer brief, time-limited counselling to help clients navigate their decisions and emotions. This role involves assessing client suitability for BPAS counselling, making referrals to other services when necessary, and maintaining accurate and confidential client records.</p><p><em>This role is working remotely from home for 20 hours per week over Monday, Tuesday, and </em><em>Wednesdays, with 1 in 4 Saturdays. A detailed shift pattern can be found below.</em></p><p><strong>About You:</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 4 diploma in professional counselling, and be registered with BACP or an accredited NCPS registrant. You should have training in integrative modality and online/telephone counselling, with experience in short-term, non-directive counselling. You should be non-judgmental, friendly, a team player, and committed to delivering a client-led service.</p>

  <p>The post holder will be working within a busy team alongside a team ofregistered mental health nurses and be supported by the Team Manager,Senior Clinical Lead/CBT Practitioner, and team administrators.</p> <p>Post holders will have a high level of autonomy working across designated GP practices, managing their own clinics and providing mental healthassessment and evidenced based treatment for people aged over 18. You will provide a service to people who exhibit complex common mental health needs and stable, predictable and enduring serious mental health needs. You will be expected to develop and manage all aspects of their service, such as waiting lists according to local need, working within the parameters of the service operational policy.</p> <p>A key aspect of this role is GP consultation, liaison, education and training. You will be expected to attend GP practice meetings at least twice a year to discuss the service and actively seek feedback and report any issues to the team leader as well as areas for improvement and any innovative practice for sharing and disseminating. Staff will be expected to autonomously manage high volumes of referrals. Staff are expected to work on their own initiative in a busy and demanding service and to be able manage change effectively.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

Depots to be administered by practice nurses. As Principal Psychologist, you will help lead this work, shaping trauma informed care as a cultural shift across the unit and wider Division. Leadership here is seen not as a title but as a shared, evolving process. Support comes from colleagues across disciplines, including community partners.</p>
