  <p>These are part time posts working 22.5 hours per week. However, we
would consider less hours for the successful candidate but would have to be a
minimum of 15 hours. The salary quoted is pro rata for part time hours.</p><p>We are looking for two motivated individuals with lived experience to support our current quality improvement programme on our older adult mental health inpatient wards. The post will be funded via the Royal College of Psychiatry`s Culture of Care Programme.</p><p>This programme aims to improve the culture of inpatient mental health, learning disability and autism for patients and staff so that they are safe, therapeutic and equitable places to be cared for, and fulfilling places to work.</p><p>Integrated Lived Experience takes the form of true co-production, the role focusses on creating a supportive and compassionate atmosphere for both staff and patients. There is an emphasis on developing change ideas in line with the programme alongside the wider MDT and core project team.</p><p>We can offer flexible working and will be supporting the successful applicant with training whilst in post.</p><p>These posts are fixed term post due to time
limited nature of the funding which will end in
12 months. We reserve the right to

Engage in supporting and developing change
ideas, attending meetings and workshops related to the Culture of Care

Develop links with the Culture of Care
champions and Culture of Care coach. Attend culture of care conferences,
online training and meetings</p><p>
Share ideas about ways of achieving Culture of
Care change ideas whilst drawing on lived experiences.</p><p>
Actively participate in Team Meetings and
support the Culture of Care project team when implementing change ideas,
reporting regularly to the project group to ensure effective communication.</p><p>
Actively participate in ward-based community
and carer groups to engage patients and carers in the Culture of Care Programme

  <p> Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service. 
2 * Undertake patient-centred interviews which identifies areas where the 
person wishes to see change and or recovery and makes an accurate 
assessment of risk to self and others.
3 * Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the 
department's referral protocols, refers unsuitable clients on to the 
relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary or steps-up 
the person's treatment to high intensity psychological therapy.

You will receive excellent support in the role including extensive clinical and caseload supervision.
 
You will offer a range of effective treatment and support available to people with common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety and extend this support to provide psychological intervention services to adults with an intellectual/learning disability who have concurrent common mental health problems.
 
The post holder will split their time between university attendance and working in service, conducting assessments, and providing face to face and remote Low Intensity Interventions.
Please note: It is a requirement of the role, that successful candidates seek BABCP accreditation within 6 months of relevant patient contact and qualifying.
 
 
About you
You will have experience of working with Mental Health and will be able to inspire and engage people and have the ability to identify barriers and understand client needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills.
 
You will have an understanding of working with people with a variety of complex needs, and experience of working with mental health, physical health, learning needs and substance misuse issues would be an advantage for this post. Your knowledge of working within a community-based service is essential and will have equipped you with the relevant communication and interpersonal skills required to build good therapeutic relationships with clients
 
You will be able to demonstrate high standards in written communication as well as excellent verbal communication including telephone skills. It is essential that you hold a health-related degree. Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy or within a psychological therapy would be desirable.

  <p>In partnership with Derby University, 4 successful candidates will be offered a full-time educational programme, funded at NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) Band 4 level, gaining credits towards a Post-Graduate Diploma qualification, plus employment on successful completion of training, with a starting salary projected to be on the NHS Band 5 scale. This will be a mixture of day and night shifts</p> <p>Our emergency call handlers are committed, enthusiastic individuals who care about people. They must have the ability to listen and respond, processing information quickly and accurately into the Computer Aided Dispatch system. Customer service skills are important and the ability to remain calm and supportive as some callers will be experiencing significant distress and trauma, including the loss of a loved one. Being able to remain focused on giving the right advice and support despite experiencing the emotions of others is a real skill and strong calm communication is required. </p> <p>All the training and mentoring you will need to undertake this role will be provided - no clinical experience is required; however, we do ask that you read the pre employment guidance which will support you when you commence training.</p> <p>All of the instructions and advice you will be giving to callers/patients is managed through a triage tool, it is intuitive and will present to you at the right time.</p> <p>No clinical experience is required, and although some call-centre experience would be an advantage, it is not essential.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are excited to offer the opportunity for a Support Worker role in the Mansfield and Ashfield Mental Health Support Team, which works alongside schools providing early intervention work and promoting mental health.</p> <p>We are really keen to hear from people who have experience in working in a CAMHS setting or perhaps those who have worked with children, maybe in a youth worker capacity or as a teaching assistant.</p> <p><strong>A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.</strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Delivering workshops and assemblies developed by the team to groups of young people in schools around the theme of emotional health and wellbeing. There may be some promotional events and parents events within schools and occasional out of hours working to cover parents evenings.</p>
<p>You may be asked to support with peer mentoring schemes that the team run in schools along with working on projects to support service delivery.</p>
<p>Pl<strong>ease note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.</strong></p>
