  <p></p><p>As a Psychologist/ Psychological Therapist in our talking therapies service, you will be responsible for offering high quality assessment and brief interventions to treat those experiencing common mental health disorders.</p>

  <p></p><p>An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time band 6 Occupational Therapist within the Integrated Independence Team (Rapid Response Team).</p> <p>We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist to be part of the Emergency department and community rapid response service within the Integrated Independence Team. This will be offered as permanent and full-time for an existing band 6 therapist or experienced band 5 therapist.</p> <p>The Integrated Independence Team is an integrated health and social care service provided jointly by Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and London Borough of Hackney. The team places the user at the heart of the care planning process, and aims to promote independence, deliver outcome focused care, and provide a seamless journey through the care system.</p> <p>The team provides rapid response, intermediate care therapy and reablement services and consists of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychotherapists, Nurses, Speech and Language Therapists, Consultant Geriatricians, Social Workers, OT Technician, Care Support Coordinators, Care Support Workers, Therapy Assistants and Administration staff. It is an ideal opportunity for psychologist with an interest in attachment, developmental psychology, infant mental health and working with family systems.</p> <p>The trust wide service is based at Queen Mary's hospital and consists of a multidisciplinary team of professionals including consultant psychiatrists, specialist perinatal nurses, clinical psychologists, CBT therapists, nursery nurses and OTs. We offer a community service for pregnant and postnatal women with severe and complex mental health difficulties. The team has close links with other services, including IAPT, secondary care mental health teams and maternity as well as third sector organisations. We work collaboratively with other services (eg maternity service and health visiting) and with experts by experience to continue to provide high quality care and are committed to ensure excellent outcomes for women and their families.</p>

<p>The main clinical work undertaken is to provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention for mothers and their babies and families in the community. The post holder will also offer clinical supervision to more junior staff and trainees.</p>
<p>The post holder will be involved in delivering evidence-based individual and group-based interventions. The psychological therapies team include clinical and counselling psychologists, as well as CBT therapists. The successful applicant will be part of a friendly and supportive team. There is an established reflective practice space for the whole team as well as regular individual supervision provided by the senior psychologist. Opportunities to develop supervision skills are consistently available and Oxleas has a longstanding relationship with clinical and counselling doctorate programs in taking trainees and developing the wider workforce.</p>

The post holder will be an independent botulinum toxin injector for spasticity, or willing to train as an injector within the first year in post. Training will be fully funded and supported.</p> <p>The post holder will be based at West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre, which includes Specialist Clinics, Prosthetics, Orthotics, Access to Communications Technology, Birmingham Wheelchair Services and Posture &amp; Mobility.</p> <p>This post is within Specialist Clinics - this is a group of 7 highly specialist regional outpatient services - Spasticity Clinic, Multiple Sclerosis Clinic, Neuromuscular Clinic, Non-Traumatic Spinal Injury Clinic, Young Adults Clinic, Complex Neuro Rehab and Intrathecal Baclofen.</p> <p>You will work as a multidisciplinary team including Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Speech &amp; Language Therapists, Counsellor and Psychologist.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p></p><p>As a Physiotherapist who is a Botulinum Toxin Injector for Spasticity, the post holder will work across all 7 services within Specialist Clinics but will predominantly work within Spasticity Clinic.</p> <p>The purpose of the role is to provide robust clinical and professional leadership ensuring that the clinical strategic aims and objectives for the Service are delivered and achieved.</p> <p>The post holder will assess, treat, and manage patients as appropriate and in keeping with their clinical expertise and they will work with all services to provide dedicated support to patients.</p> <p>The post holder will provide clinical expertise and leadership to the Specialist Clinics service within Birmingham Community Healthcare (BCHC) NHS Foundation Trust.</p> <p></p>
