School Counsellor - Full Time (5 Days per Week)
Location: Southwark, London

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and knowledgeable School Counsellor to join a welcoming and supportive school in Southwark on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with previous counselling experience in an educational or similar setting. A relevant degree is preferred, alongside a strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health, safeguarding, and therapeutic approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one counselling and emotional support to students.
  • Counselling qualifications / certificates are mandatory
  • Assess students' wellbeing and develop appropriate support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to promote positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with safeguarding and GDPR requirements.
  • Contribute to the school's wellbeing strategy and promote positive mental health across the school.
