The Brighton and Hove Clinic is a specialist inpatient eating disorder unit for children and adolescents.
Reporting directly to the consultant clinical psychologist, you will be responsible for the delivery of evidence-based individual and group interventions, facilitation of formulation meetings and supervision of other members of the psychology team. You will form part of a diverse multi-disciplinary team, with opportunities for joint working, family liaison and systemic interventions. Our patients can also present with co-morbid attachment difficulties, ASC (both diagnosed and undiagnosed) and with emotion regulation difficulties. We provide individualised and formulation driven treatment programmes to support children and adolescents to begin their recovery and transition safely back into the community. Interventions include individual therapy, systemic family therapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic and activity groups, meal support sessions and a psychoeducational family support group.
The role is an exciting opportunity to join an established and passionate psychology team (made up of a Consultant clinical psychologist, Highly specialist cognitive-behaviour therapist, Apprentice clinical associate psychologist and Assistant psychologist), whilst also contributing to the development of an individualised and patient-centred service committed to improving clinical practice and effectiveness. Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist on the specialist register for forensic or general adult psychiatry, who is passionate about improving the lives of women with complex mental health needs? If so, join the team at Arbury Court hospital.
Working 37.5 hours a week, you will provide care and treatment for adult women with a wide range of mental health issues, responsible for delivering care programmes, managing physical and mental health concerns and providing individualised approaches to the care and treatment of people admitted to the hospital.
Arbury Court are seeking a Full Time Consultant Psychiatrist for Clover (female acute) ward.
Arbury Court is situated outside Warrington, just off the M62 and close to Liverpool, Manchester, and Chester. There are excellent transport links, making the hospital highly commutable from across the North West.

Your responsibilities:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 <li>Full GMC registration and Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists</li>
 <li>To be on (or about to join) the GMC specialist register for either forensic or general adult psychiatry</li>

Acute Adult Consultant Psychiatrist

			As an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist, you will have expert knowledge of working with survivors of an acquired brain injury, individuals with neurodegenerative conditions with potentially co-morbid mental illness and complex physical health conditions.&nbsp; Patients at the Unit can be detained under the Mental Health Act, supported via Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards or as an informal patient.&nbsp; Referrals are taken from many sources including psychiatric hospitals, prisons and the courts
