<p>The post offers a diverse range of experience working with people with complex mental health difficulties. You will join a friendly and supportive group of psychologists in the locality and there will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD. The trust has an enviable care pathways system which values Psychology, Psychotherapy and the Arts Psychotherapies. There are opportunities to train in DBT, CBT for psychosis, family interventions, CBT for personality disorders and structured clinical management.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>Variety:</strong> You will have the chance to work with a wide range of complex presentations including affective disorders, psychosis, and personality, and using a variety of methods and approaches. With assessments, individual therapies, group therapies, family interventions, MDT working, complex case meetings, indirect interventions using a Positive Behaviour Support framework, and supervision all part of the role, it's safe to say that no two days will feel the same! Many of our Psychologists in acute services find that the switching really helps to stay energised.</p>
<p><strong>Fast-paced:</strong> You will get to be reflexive; formulating problems, identifying with teams when attempted solutions create a new or different problem, and supporting teams to remove barriers to discharge and supporting people to have an independent and personally meaningful life outside of hospital. Expect your day to fly by!</p>
<p><strong>Autonomy:</strong> Acute Inpatient Psychologists can personalise and tailor the role of Psychology for their wards.</p>

<p>The Great Western Hospital are currently looking to expand their Radiology department to support the recovery and current demand within diagnostics. The Radiology department hosts digital plain film rooms, multiple CT scanners , Interventional and Mobile equipment.</p>

We operate a CT and MRI shift pattern involving evenings, weekends and overnight CT duties, whilst maintaining the opportunity to enhance earnings through overtime.</p> <p>Our Imaging department comprises of 4 new Siemens CT scanners that perform a diverse number of examinations on a weekly basis e.g. CT guided ablations, cardiac scans and colonography examinations. Additionally, we have 2 onsite 1.5T Siemens Sola MRI scanners and a 3T Siemens Vida as well as the exciting opportunity for training and rotation on a state of the art 1.5T Siemens Sola MRI scanner located at Broadgreen hospital. The Radiology department covers a wide spectrum of imaging examinations including Trauma, Stroke, Cardiac, Pancreatic, Vascular and Renal Transplant.</p> <p>MRI experience desirable for this post.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Perform specialist clinical duties by undertaking complex specialised radiological examinations in CT and MRI and all aspects of patient care associated with this.</p>

  <p>We are looking to recruit a Band 7 CT Superintendent Radiographer to join our friendly team here at the Great Western Hospital.</p> <p>The Great Western Hospital are currently looking to recruit a Band 7 CT superintendent to lead the CT service in the Radiology department to support the recovery and current demand within diagnostics. The Radiology department hosts digital plain film rooms, multiple CT scanners , Interventional and Mobile equipment.</p> <p>This is a fantastic opportunity for an established radiographer with NHS experience looking to increase their knowledge and work with state-of-the-art equipment which currently includes a 5% recruitment and retention premium.</p>       <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>1. To conduct a wide range of CT scans upon a range of patient types, both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi professional team, in a manner that meets professional, departmental and legal standards and requirements.</p> <p>2. To independently assess and justify referrals under IR(ME)R 2017 following practitioner guidelines where appropriate.</p> <p>3. To independently assess each patient and adapt radiographic techniques according to the needs of the patient.</p> <p>4. Able to interpret Clinician's requirements, to determine the appropriate radiographic scan technique and ensure that it is performed in accordance with best practice and that the resultant images are diagnostic.</p> <p>5. To use discretion to work outside of departmental standards when clinical circumstances necessitate i.e. undertaking additional or specialist techniques.</p> <p>6. To undertake CT scans in the absence of a radiologist according to agreed protocols.</p> <p>7. To be able to use the departmental radiology information computer system (CRIS) as required and be conversant with the picture archive communication system (PACS).</p> <p>8.   <p>We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic psychologist to join our busy multi-disciplinary Sunderland South Tyneside Children and Young People's Service. The post is based in the South Tyneside team neurodevelopmental assessment pathway. There will also be opportunities to work into the mental health pathway. This will enable the successful candidate to develop and extend their clinical skills and knowledge.</p> <p>You will be working in an environment where there is strong emphasis on teamwork and quality of clinical care. You will work collaboratively with our friendly multidisciplinary team members including other qualified psychologists and Assistant Psychologists who support the qualified roles. Professionally there are links with the wider network of psychologists who deliver psychology across the service, including learning disability and cared for pathways. As a service, we value the role of robust, supportive and effective supervision and you will have access to separate clinical and management supervision. The post-holder will also have the opportunity to contribute to the supervision of Assistant Psychologists and team members from wider professions.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Within the neurodevelopmental assessment team you will be responsible for leading assessment and formulation of complex presentations, exploring possible neurodevelopmental vulnerabilities and/or disorder as well as thoroughly considering wider factors and comorbidity. Our assessments provide thorough profiling of young people's strengths, needs and difficulties helping to ensure that they have access to the most appropriate understanding and supports as they develop and grow. We are ideally looking for a clinician who has knowledge and training in neurodevelopmental assessment skills and who is able to put the young person and their family at the centre of every assessment. The successful candidate will be supported in developing specialist skills that are relevant to this role, for example completing training in ADOS assessment.</p> <p>Within the mental health pathway we deliver a range of psychological therapies including CBT, EMDR, Family Therapy, Art Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to further develop their psychological therapies skills through co-working and robust supervision.</p>

<p>The successful candidate will undertake general and specialist analysis of samples received in Blood Sciences, on a rotational basis throughout all sections of Haematology and Blood Transfusion.</p>
<p>These procedures include the analysis and interpretation of complex results which ultimately leads to the production of a laboratory report, which may impact directly on patient care. You are responsible for informing a Consultant Haematologist of any result that may need immediate clinical action.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Biomedical Scientists (BMSs) contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing and interpreting a range of scientific procedures on biological specimens using highly complex equipment.</p>
<p>This post operates throughout Haematology and Blood Transfusion, in conjunction with the Biomedical Support Workers. The laboratory is fully UKAS ISO 15189 Accredited and is also an accredited site for HCPC Certificate of Competence and IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Chemistry Training. The department has state of the art equipment with a refresh of major analysers in 2019.  </p>
<p>We have Sysmex with Di60 for FBC and Films, Werfen for coagulation and Ortho in Blood Transfusion  In 2021 we have installed and gone live with a comprehensive Kelsius Temperature Monitoring System.  Early in 2022 we expect to take on a full complement of new Microscopes.  Ordercomms is now established for Hospital and GP Users and the laboratory and a major IT upgrade to Winpath Enterprise is underway for implementation in 2022.</p>
