  <p></p><p>We're seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (Band 8a, 1.0 WTE) to help shape and deliver psychologically-informed care in our 24/7 recovery house service--a short-stay alternative to hospital admission for adults experiencing acute mental health distress.Working flexibly within a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide trauma-informed assessments, brief interventions, and psychological leadership in a recovery-focused, inclusive environment that centres lived experience and cultural safety.</p> <p>Recovery House (RH)is a new and innovative service we are launching that meets an important need for people(18+)experiencing poor mental health. The RH will provide those in crisis with a safe, secure and welcoming environment to support the de-escalation of crisis. The House will be open to new and existing BSMHFT service users and will provide a homely environment, allowing people to retain independence, whilst receiving person centred and appropriate care.</p> <p>The service which is part of the Trust's Urgent Care pathway is a partnership with Birmingham Mind and builds on the range of strong collaborations we have with the voluntary sector.</p> <p>The RH will serve as a base for community integration, allowing service users to connect with local communities and provision, as well as their family/carers.</p> <p></p>

  <p></p><p>Tasks include:</p> <p>o Provide psychological formulations and short-term interventions (CBT, trauma-informed approaches)</p> <p>o Supervise and develop a Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner, colleagues in the team and support workers</p> <p>o Support the team in crisis planning, reflective practice, and risk formulation</p> <p>o Embed culturally responsive and trauma-informed care across the service</p> <p>o Liaise with NHS and community services to support safe transitions</p> <p>You will also input one day a week into our Home Treatment service. You will be professionally accountable to the Principal Psychologist Lead for Home Treatment and line managed by the Recovery House's Team Manager.</p>

  <p></p><p>The post could be offered as a 30 hours per week or Job share depending on applicants and we may be able to offer full time hours for the right candidate.</p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic highly skilled and experienced practitioner psychologist to join our mental health services focusing on working with adults with psychosis. This is an exciting time to be joining the Trust as we are looking at improving our services for people experiencing psychosis and bipolar disorder and expanding the psychological provision in our teams.</p> <p>Working across a number of community teams you will provide expertise in both direct clinical work and leadership/supervision of teams in psychological approaches to care.</p> <p>This is a key clinical leadership role, working within teams and responsible for continuing to drive and embed the significant work already undertaken to develop services for people with psychosis across Gloucestershire.</p> <p>The post holder will be responsible for providing highly-specialist advice and consultancy to staff, teams, and patients with direct responsibility for the provision of psychological services within the teams, including supervision of assistants and trainees. They will also have a key role to play in service development and quality improvement across care pathways.</p> <p></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p></p><p>This role covers teams based in Gloucester, Cheltenham and across the county. All reasonable flexible working requests will be considered, but the post holder will be expected to work across sites in line with service need.</p> <p>Our specialist mental health services work with adults with severe mental health problems. About 60% of the people we work with have experienced psychosis, and we aim to provide psychologically and trauma informed care and evidence based interventions including CBT-P and Family Therapy.</p> <p>In this role you will:</p> <p>Work as part of MDT's providing specialist psychological formulation, assessment and direct care.</p> <p>Provide supervision, reflective practice and consultation/advice to colleagues and teams,</p> <p>Contribute to quality improvement and service development, including research and development activities such as teaching.</p> <p>Leading workstreams on psychological approaches to care, and specifically working as a part of our developing psychosis pathways</p> <p>Line manage, supervise and support other psychological professionals, assistants and trainees.</p> <p><strong>The qualification, training &amp; experience requirements for the role are underlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.</strong></p>

It has received accreditations from QNIC and the National Autistic Society and a quality review in June 2024 highlighted strengths in a positive team culture, great relationships between young people and staff and comprehensive therapeutic provision. </p> <p>The young people we work with have often experienced significant difficulties in their lives and presentations include trauma, mental illness, personality difficulties, neurodevelopment difficulties and harm to self and/or others. As a team psychologist, you will work alongside a range of professionals, providing safe, containing environments and interventions to help the young people understand themselves, their mental health and offending behaviour. Within the role you will have opportunities to provide individual and group interventions, supervision and management of others, and be involved in training, service development, audit and evaluation.</p>

  <p></p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in the Hull Children in Care Team.  We are seeking to employ a qualified clinical or counselling psychologist who has experience in the assessment, formulation and therapy of children and young people with histories of trauma. We would encourage clinical/counselling psychologists who are wanting to progress to 8a to apply for the post. The Clinical Psychologist will join a committed LAC Service within Hull CLA CAMHS consisting of dramatherapy, art therapy, social worker and clinical psychologists.</p>
<p>This is an exciting time to be joining the service due to the transformational work with the vision of becoming trauma informed and developing the AMBIT framework work across CAMHS pathways.</p>
<p>Progression from band 7 to band 8a is subject to the post holder being able to evidence that they have met all criteria required for the role. It is expected that in order for the post holder to progress that they would have successfully completed the ISW training, have had experience supervising trainee psychologists and other professionals; have received post qualification training in an area relevant to this role, have led on consultations and are able to work with increasingly complex presentations (as available within the role). There are six specialist services on the Brooklands Hospital site, providing inpatient assessment and treatment services to adults (men and women) and young people with an Intellectual Disability.   <p></p><p>The post holder would be joining a dynamic team with a range of clinical interests and expertise in a variety of therapeutic models including DBT, Compassion Focussed, EMDR and Narrative approaches.</p> <p>Positive Behavioural Support is a major part of our treatment philosophy and the service ethos is to ensure that effective, evidence based interventions are provided to people who can present considerable risk, to ensure that they can return to a less restrictive environment in the community as soon as possible.</p> <p>All members of the team receive excellent support, good quality supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development. There are good links with psychological services staff across the Trust, developing Special Interest Groups across speciality and an annual conference. The Psychological services team also has strong links with local clinical and forensic training courses, and regularly provides placements for trainee clinical and forensic psychologists, supervision for DClinPsy and DForPsy research, and teaching on the courses.</p> <p>Candidates with experience of working within a range of clinical settings including CAMHS, Forensic, Mental Health, Social Care and Learning Disabilities are welcomed. a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist at our forensic mental health hospital, Heatherwood
Court. Comprising of a Locked Rehabilitation Service (1 female ward) and a Low
Secure Service (1 male and 2 female wards), Heatherwood Court treats patients with
complex needs, including severe and enduring mental illness, complex trauma,
and difficulties consistent with a diagnosis of personality disorder. </p><p></p><p>We are looking for applicants with
experience of working with service users with complex needs and risk behaviours
along with those who have an interest and prior experience of delivering
evidenced-based interventions for people with personality disorder and/or
complex mental health problems. We are particularly interested in candidates
who have received DBT training, but would offer training to suitable candidates

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p></p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Clinical Psychologist (Grade 8a) to join our friendly Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in North East Wiltshire, and the Wiltshire Psychological Therapies Service (PTS),for a period of six months.</p> <p>This locum role is primarily based in Chippenham and Devizes, while providing clinical services to the older adult population throughout Wiltshire.</p> <p>Working as part of both the Wiltshire PTS and CMHT offers psychologists the opportunity to treat a range of disorders and presenting difficulties. This means you can maintain your skills across a diverse client group or further explore a specialist interest, such as neuropsychology.</p> <p>In Wiltshire, the service is needs-led ('ageless'), offering care for both functional and organic conditions to all adults aged 18 and over. This role will focus on clients from the older adult population.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p></p><p>This post is within the multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and the Wiltshire Psychological Therapies Service (PTS). We are an enthusiastic and innovative team that values the input and contribution of all our staff and strives to offer the best possible services to our clients.</p> <p>We provide a wide range of psychological therapies, including CBT, EMDR, ACT, DBT, CAT, Integrative approaches, Schema-focused therapy, Mindfulness-based interventions, and Solution-focused methods, delivered in both group and individual contexts, primarily on an outpatient basis.</p> <p>The successful applicant will have clearly demonstrable skills and knowledge in working with people from the older adult age range. For this senior role, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with different client groups in secondary mental health settings, and of having been responsible for providing specialist assessments and interventions. You will need to show evidence of clinical leadership and innovations that have improved services in which you have worked.</p> <p>As the provision of supervision, consultation, and training to colleagues within the service is highly valued and an essential part of the role, being able to demonstrate skill and experience in this area would be an advantage.</p> <p><strong>Please see the attached Job Description for a full list of duties and responsibilities.</strong></p>
